CURSILLO STAFF TRAINING AND MUSIC WORKSHOP AT CAMP MCDOWELL

Join us for a fun and Spirit filled Staff Training and Music Workshop on October 10th. The staff training begins at 9am and is followed by a music workshop! The fun doesn’t stop there - stay overnight at Bethany Village as Cursillo #241 comes to a close.

The staff training session and music workshop are open to anyone who has completed a three-day Cursillo Weekend and is interested in serving on staff at a Cursillo. Come prepared to have a great time while learning about the mechanics and fun behind the scenes of the Cursillo weekend.

Stay for the night or just for staff training! We look forward to seeing you there!

A collect for Labor Day: Almighty God, you have so linked our lives one with another that all we do affects, for good or ill, all other lives: So guide us in the work we do, that we may do it not for self alone, but for the common good; and, as we seek a proper return for our own labor, make us mindful of the rightful aspirations of other workers, and arouse our concern for those who are out of work; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Join us for a one day Staff Training at Grace Episcopal Church in Cullman on July 18th from 9-3.

The Staff Training session is open to anyone who has completed a three-day Cursillo Weekend and is interested in serving on a Cursillo staff. There is no limit to the number of staff training workshops you may attend, but you must complete at least one session to be placed on the staff “eligibility” list. During this training you will hear about the mechanics of conducting a Cursillo weekend, the various staff position responsibilities, and the Kairos ministry. Come prepared to have fun while making new friends from around the Diocese. De Colores!

On this Memorial Day we remember and honor those who have gone before us and paid the ultimate price. A Collect for Memorial Day: Almighty God, we commend to your gracious care and keeping those who serve in our armed forces at home and abroad. As we remember this Memorial Day all those who sacrificed themselves for our nation’s ideals, defend with your heavenly grace all who risk themselves in these times; strengthen them in their trials and temptations; give them courage to face the perils which beset them; and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
