A Weary Mothers Prayer

Thank you Lord
For 6 little legs kicking and dancing around.
For 3 little mouths yelling and praising you already.
For 6 arms touching me constantly.
For 3 souls I know you have already redeemed.
For 6 cheeks I get to kiss on.
These 3 little bodies will be driving off with their own families before I know it.
My heart beaming with pride and completely broken at the same time.
Don’t let me wish these long days away.
Don’t allow the stress of the nonstop needs and responsibilities to cause me to lose the eternal perspective.
We are raising kingdom shakers and disciples who will carry their crosses and lead their families into the everlasting arms of the father.
Jesus I ask your prayers for me today as you did Peter that my faith would not fail.
Give me joy in the chaos and remove my perfectionism.
Let it be that when my kids are old and gray they look upon their childhood fondly and see Christs love in all of it.

Are you in knots carrying the weight of the world? 🌎

Let’s face it things have seemed to be a downward spiral this year, with adversity at every corner, wildfires blazing, kids chronically ill and dying, hurricanes on the horizon rumors of war circling, and Christians being tortured and killed in countries not so far away.

We toss and turn being all too aware of the single thread that lies between our safety, our health, our children, our freedoms, especially as Christians who are called to openly profess Christ no matter the cost.

The truth is the older we get the wiser we are and the more we realize bad things do happen and we are not exempt.

Even though we are aware of this frailty we lie our heads at night in peace knowing God is faithful. He controls all aspects from a single speck of sand floating through the ocean to the decisions the most powerful leaders will make.

And most importantly He promises that He will not lose one that the father has given Him.

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will sn**ch them out of my hand.”
‭‭John‬ ‭10‬:‭27‬-‭28‬ ‭

So as the enemy comes for your mind today, with the knot in your stomach that will never leave, stop and remember

God is still on the throne. He has defeated death and you are carefully placed in the palm of His hand.

Don’t allow the enemy to steal today in fear of tomorrow. >>

Turn on those worship songs 🎶 get in your Bible and believe that through Christ you have power over the enemy to have joy today. ❤️

In times of difficulty we remember that we have an eternal hope that far outweighs the pain and hurt this world can bring. Be encouraged there are far greater things ahead.

The ache of conviction bruises the Christian, but, Christian, do you not see? That very ache is evidence of its cause. The cause of the ache is a renewed heart and mind, indwelt fully by the Spirit of God. “I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you.” (Ezekiel 36:26)

You may despise your sin, but do not despise the evidence of your salvation. The very conviction you feel is the proof that you are no longer dead. That evidence is what removes enmity. "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." (Romans 8:1)

You are His. And in your heart and mind, He will lead you. "For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God." (Romans 8:14) The body of death that encapsulates you has not won. Not even on the days when it feels like it has, when you’re tired, broken, and beaten down. "Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!" (Romans 7:24-25)

And when the enemy whispers guilt and shame into your ear, remind him of this: the conviction you feel is the saving work of God within you. “For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret.” (2 Corinthians 7:10)

Though your feet may fail, He will not. (Psalm 73:26)

So smile today. Not because you’re strong, but because He saved you. And that salvation did not come because of your best efforts, but despite them. "By grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God." (Ephesians 2:8)

So, respond no longer with effort rooted in accomplishment, but rather with desire rooted in love. Because no matter how many times or how gruesome the failure, He has not failed you. "If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself." (2 Timothy 2:13)
