Connect Community Church is an Assemblies of God Pentecostal church currently based at Askew Avenue Methodist Church on Askew Avenue in Hull.

New Hope Family Church is part of the Assemblies of God movement and is a lively and vibrant family friendly church. We have groups during our meetings for children and young people of all ages. Our pastor is David North who is married to Dawn and has 2 grown-up children. The church has a strong leadership team who are committed to seeing the church grow and reach out into the community.

😍 😍 SEPTEMBER PRAISE 😍 😍
It’s September already, and we are getting back into the swing of things after the Summer Holidays. Join us on Sunday, in person, for the beginning of our Autumn Season of gatherings.

Do you feel God is nowhere to be seen? What about those quiet times in your life when there’s not a lot happening… where is God there?

Come along and join us as we praise, discuss, and pray with you as we all walk together through this journey of life.

Our next Quiz Night of the year is coming up soon. Only a few spaces left now! Get a team together (up to 4 people) or just come on the night and join a team. Music, Pictures, Sounds, General Knowledge, and a whole lot more. It’s a great night of fun. Doesn’t matter if you win – there are still plenty of prizes to win. ✏️✏️ THE BRIDGE ✏️✏️
Head on down to see us this Thursday to make some new friends and have refreshments on us. Also, take the opportunity to play Pictionary – a great drawing game which creates lots of laughs!! You don’t have to be great at drawing, indeed, you don’t have to take part if you don’t want. Just be part of a great group of people who are great friends. Come along and join this group – life works better in a group.

CHURCH PICNIC UPDATE
Hi Facebook Friends. Just an update. Because of the weather forecast and the fact that the ground will be wet underfoot, we will NOT be holding our Picnic in the Park today. Instead… we’ll be having an Indoor Outdoor Picnic at Askew Avenue Methodist Church.
Please note the NEW TIME!! 12.15pm. Just a few minutes after our original advertised time, just to let our friends at the Methodist Church finish their service without rushing.
Looking forward to seeing you later. Remember, bring your picnic, chairs, etc. Plus, any suitable indoor games you might have.

🌞🌞 SUMMER PICNIC 🌞🌞
We are planning to hold a Summer Picnic tomorrow at Peter Pan Park (all details on the poster). The weather doesn’t look very good, however, we’re still planning it. If it is wet, then we’ll go to Askew Avenue Methodist Church instead and have an ‘Indoor Outdoor Picnic’!!! The Picnic will be at 12.00noon and please bring your own picnic and chairs/rugs, etc. We’re planning for a great time together. Invite friends, family, anyone you know and make them a picnic – it‘s open to anyone. We’ll update on here as to where it will be held. Looking forward to seeing you.

It’s nearly time for schools to go back and we still have places for September for our Tots Group. See poster for all details. We have play sessions, singing sessions, parachute games, a baby corner, plus snack time – all of these every week. We’d love to welcome you to our Tots Family. Head on down to The Bridge on Thursday for our Summer Picnic. No need to bring a picnic – we’ll provide it for you. (You don’t have to book to come to The Bridge, but you do have to book for the Picnic (just so we can cater!).)

🫔 🫔 THE BRIDGE 🫔 🫔
Head on down to see us this Thursday at 11.30am where some free Pastries will be waiting for you. Whilst you’re here, join in with Play Your Cards Right. We had so much fun last time we played this; you will end up laughing your heads off! There are Board Games to play. There’s a Bring & Buy Table. Raffles with prizes. And, there are new friends to meet.

This week, Adult Social Care will be visiting us. They provide information to any resident of Hull (not just council tenants) on voluntary organisations, signpost to organisations, advise on formal care needs or Occupational Therapy and many other aspects of daily living.

Why not make a special trip to see us; I’m sure you’ll enjoy yourself.
