**MONDAY MINDSET | COMMAND YOUR MORNING**

Before you check your phone, email, or everything waiting for you today—**seek God first.**

God asked Job:

“Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days…” — Job 38:12

God is the One who commands the morning. Instead of waking up and allowing the pressures, frustrations, and problems of the day to immediately control our thoughts and emotions, let's begin our mornings getting into agreement with Him.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God…” — Matthew 6:33

**Seek Him FIRST.**

Not after you're overwhelmed.
Not after anxiety takes over.
Not after everything starts going wrong.

Then **speak God's Word over your day.**

Proverbs 18:21 tells us death and life are in the power of the tongue. So why begin the day speaking defeat?

Instead, declare what GOD has said.

When opposition comes:
**“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper.”** — Isaiah 54:17

When trouble comes:
**“Make haste, O God, to deliver me…”** — Psalm 70:1

When your thoughts begin running in every direction, take them captive and bring them into obedience to Christ. — 2 Corinthians 10:4–5

And before you step into your day, **put on the whole armor of God.** — Ephesians 6:12–18

This doesn't mean difficult things won't happen.

But there's a difference between walking into a battle unprepared and walking into it **already dressed for war.**

So this week:

**SEEK GOD before the world gets your attention.
SPEAK THE WORD before fear speaks to you.
GUARD YOUR MIND before negative thoughts take over.
PUT ON YOUR ARMOR before the battle begins.**

God has given us His Word. **USE IT.**

Speak it. Pray it. Believe it. Stand on it.

Don't just wake up and see what kind of day you're going to have.

**Wake up. Seek God. Speak His Word. Put on your armor. Then go face your day.**

Scripture Sunday — “Get in the Word"

The purpose would be to encourage people not just to attend church or listen to sermons, but to personally know, read, study, and live according to Scripture.

Each Sunday can focus on one passage and break down what it teaches us and how to apply it.

For today, I think this is a strong topic:

TODAY'S MESSAGE: “Don't Just Hear the Word — Live It.”
James 1:22 says:
“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”

This opens up a very important conversation.

We can go to church every Sunday.
Listen to sermons.
Highlight our Bibles.
Save Christian videos.
Post scriptures.
Know worship songs.
Say “Amen.”

But the real question is:
Is the Word changing how we live?

That gives us a strong Sunday teaching around application and obedience, especially because Tuesday will eventually be your repentance/transformation day.

Three scriptures I would build today's message around are:
James 1:22–25 — Don't merely hear the Word; do what it says.
Luke 11:28 — “Blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.”
John 14:15 — “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

And we could end with a challenge:

Sunday Challenge:

Don't leave today's sermon at church.
Write down one thing God showed you today and ask:

“What do I need to DO with what I heard?”
Then act on it this week.

**SEEK GOD SATURDAY | Seek Him in ALL Things**

We have to get out of the habit of only seeking God when something is wrong.

When we're in trouble, we seek Him.

When we need an answer, we seek Him.

When we need healing, provision, direction, or a breakthrough, we seek Him.

But what would happen if seeking God became part of our everyday life?

What should I eat today?

What should I wear today?

What should I read today?

Lord, how should I handle this conversation?

Should I go here?

Should I make this purchase?

Is there something You want me to do today?

Is there someone You want me to encourage?

**Nothing is too small to bring before God.**

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. **In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.**”
— Proverbs 3:5–6 KJV

The more we practice seeking God in the small things, the more natural it becomes to seek Him in everything.

We learn to ask.

We learn to listen.

We learn to recognize His direction.

And most importantly, we develop a relationship with God that isn't built only around what we need from Him.

Jesus tells us:

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
— Matthew 6:33 KJV

Start asking God questions.

And don't just ask them—**write them down.**

Keep a journal.

Write the date.

Write the question you asked God.

Pray about it.

Search His Word.

Then document what happens.

When He answers, write it down.

When He gives you understanding through Scripture, write it down.

When you realize He redirected you from something, write it down.

When you look back over those pages, you may begin to recognize just how much God has been speaking, teaching, directing, correcting, and leading you.

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally…”
— James 1:5 KJV

And sometimes our prayer doesn't need to be complicated.

“Lord, show me.”

“Teach me.”

“Lead me.”

“Give me wisdom.”

“Help me understand.”

Just like David prayed:

“Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me…”
— Psalm 25:4–5 KJV

Seeking God should become a lifestyle.

Not something we do only when life falls apart.

Not something reserved for Sunday morning.

Not something we do only when we desperately need an answer.

**Our lives should be a daily example of what it looks like to seek God.**

So here's your challenge for this **Seek God Saturday**:

Before you make your next decision today—even a small one—ask God about it.

Start practicing His presence in the ordinary things.

Because if we learn to seek Him in the small things, seeking Him in the big things will no longer feel like an emergency response.

**It will simply be the way we live.**
