Cruciform Hope Ministries — What is it?
A Brief Manifesto:
It’s the organization I wish had existed when I was a young Christian teenager, crumbling under the weight of crippling panic attacks and crushing depression.
It’s a place of hope for the weary, the anxious, the depressed, the bipolar.
You may know the type—human beings brought to the edge of despair, where it feels almost impossible to hold onto the truth that they are deeply loved by God and held close in Christ through His Spirit.
It exists because I’ve been there:
• Crying in the church parking lot
• Praying while feeling numb and lost
• Leading others while secretly unraveling
• Wondering if I was too broken to be used by God
It arises from core beliefs that:
• You can love Jesus and still struggle with mental illness
• You can pray faithfully and still need therapy
• You can have faith in God and still feel depressed
Being a pastor-theologian has taught me the danger of minimizing the importance of the cross—not just in Jesus’ life, but in ours.
The cross doesn’t just offer forgiveness.
It is the way God enters into suffering—in solidarity and with transforming power.
It reveals the path that evil must take on the way to being redeemed.
Christ’s wounds speak hope into ours.
And this hope is a peculiar one—a cruciform one:
Divine Love healing humanity in and through its suffering.
Cruciform Hope Ministries exists to:
• Hold space for your story
• Offer honest hope for anxious souls
• Encourage pastors, teachers, and parents who care for the hurting
• Share resources, reflections, and maybe even a little humor
We will be a consistent voice in a confusing world, reminding those who need to hear it that:
• You are not hopelessly broken
• You have not been carelessly forgotten
You are held—so closely—by the love of the Triune God that the only thing we should ever be overly certain about is this: Grace is the first word of your story—and it will certainly be the last.
The road of healing can be long, but it’s a road carried by the strength and comfort of the Spirit.
And it’s not one you have to walk alone.
