South Texas District Church of the Nazarene We are a family of 100 congregations located in West, South, Central, and East Texas. Welcome to the site of the South Texas District Church of the Nazarene.

Our district stretches west to Odessa, south to the Rio Grande Valley, east to the Golden Triangle of Beaumont, Port Arthur and Orange, and north to Waco. We are a multicultural family of 98 congregations located in West, South, Central, and East Texas. Pastor Robert McGath shares this sad news...
It is with deep sadness that we share the sudden passing of Susan Bartell. Please join us in praying for David and the entire Bartell family during this heartbreaking time.

Susan was an active member at SAF for nearly two decades. Susan and David (Associate Pastor) at Dove Creek Ministries were founding members in September 2020. Susan has served at DCM as music director and NYI president. Susan and David were instrumental in DCM opening a second campus in 2023. Susan also had a heart for missions and reaching the lost.

Celebration of Life service will be held May 9,2026 at 1:00 pm. at San Antonio First.
