While families across the U.S. are filling backpacks with notebooks and pencils, children in rural Honduras are receiving a different kind of back-to-school essential: a wellness check-up.

At Harvest Health Missions, we believe physical health is a vital foundation for a child's future and a heart open to God’s word. This year, we are blessed to conduct biannual school wellness screenings for over 700 children in and around Siguatepeque, Honduras.

From vision check-ups to growth assessments and health education, these screenings ensure every child is equipped to thrive. More than medical care, these moments share the hope and healing of Christ with the next generation. We are deeply grateful for our dedicated volunteers and partners acting as the hands and feet of Jesus.

We are deeply grateful for the Mission House, a place of rest, prayer, and preparation for visiting medical teams, volunteers, missionaries, and ministry partners. 🏡💛

After long days of travel, medical outreach, and serving communities in need, this home provides a peaceful space to recharge, seek God, and prepare to continue bringing physical healing and eternal hope.

“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” — Matthew 9:37

Harvest Health Missions is stepping out in faith with Three Big Prayers and an $8,000 fundraising goal:

$3,000 — Butterfly Portable Ultrasound
To provide essential prenatal and obstetric assessments in remote mountain communities.

$2,000 — Medical-Supply Storage Shed
To safely protect medications, vitamins, and equipment used during clinics and brigades.

$3,000 — Missionary Physician Healthcare
To provide one year of ongoing treatment for our founder and currently only on-the-ground missionary, who continues serving patients while managing deep infiltrating endometriosis affecting multiple organs.

Each gift helps us continue providing free, Christ-centered healthcare to more than 1,000 patients annually in Honduras.

At Harvest Health Missions, our calling goes far beyond a 7-day trip. We are committed to cultivating lasting fruit, building a foundation of hope that stands firm long after a team leaves.

Our year-round presence in Latin America bridges the gap between medical brigades with consistent follow-up care and intentional discipleship. Whether it's a health check-up or a Bible study, through our amazing ministry partners, someone is walking alongside our brothers and sisters to ensure both physical and spiritual healing are sustainable.

In remote villages, seeing a specialist can feel impossible, but we believe prevention is vital. We serve because we are one body in Christ, as 1 Corinthians 12:26 reminds us: "If one member suffers, all suffer together." Caring for our brothers’ and sisters’ health is a direct expression of our faith in action.

Our chronic disease follow-up program is proof of this mission. By providing regular check-ups for conditions like hypertension, we’ve seen a significant decrease in emergency complications. We aren't just treating symptoms; we are providing sustainable hope and long-term healing.

For a family in the mountains of Honduras, a routine doctor's visit is often an impossible journey. Rugged terrain and the high cost of travel mean that physical health often takes a backseat to basic survival.

At Harvest Health Missions, we believe quality healthcare shouldn’t be a luxury of location. We don’t wait for patients to reach the city; we bring the clinic directly to them. Through our mobile clinics and school wellness checks, we bridge the gap, providing professional medical care alongside the hope of the Gospel.

As we celebrate the birth of our nation today, we are filled with deep gratitude for the cherished freedoms we enjoy and the community we share. It is a day to reflect on the blessings of liberty and the spirit of unity that defines our land.

"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." : 2 Corinthians 3:17

Did you know that in some of the communities we serve, up to 40% of schoolchildren have never seen a doctor or had a health screening? 🩺✨
