This week's Moment of Truth: Proverbs 18:2 (NIV) — "Fools find no pleasure in understanding, but delight in airing their opinions."

How did Proverbs know about Facebook 2,000 years ago?

We live in a world where headlines pass for the whole story, where volume substitutes for truth, and where AI tells us what to think and we call it wisdom. And while this may be sadly true of the world — it should not be true of Christians.

Christians are not consumers of worldly garbage recycled generation after generation. Christians are humble servants who obey Jesus Christ. We are official ambassadors of His heavenly kingdom. And as ambassadors, we cannot hold opinions that conflict with what He says is good, right, and just. If we do, we are wrong.

The devil knows this. And his most effective weapon against the church is not persecution — it is opinion. Baseless, divisive, conflicting opinion that confuses the truth of God, destroys unity, and makes Christians combat ineffective.
So, whose message do you most often deliver — yours or Jesus's?

This is not a time for opinion. It is a time for unity and courage in the truth of God as written in the Bible.

Some battles continue because a man keeps negotiating with the very thing God has called him to put to death.

You cannot defeat what you refuse to turn from.

Pride. Po*******hy. Alcohol. Rage. Greed. Dishonesty. Envy. Secret compromise.

Repentance is more than admitting sin. It is turning from it and turning toward God.

Bring it into the light. Take responsibility. Put real boundaries in place. Stop making room for what God has called you to leave behind.

Take one honest step today. Turn from the sin that has been gaining ground in your life. Bring it before God, and if you need another man to stand with you, speak with a pastor, trusted Christian brother, or counselor.

Freedom does not come from managing sin. It comes through Jesus Christ.

In Part 2 of the Threats to Christianity series, host Colonel Richard J. Mendelow (Ret) and his wingman Christy Mendelow address a threat that is not coming from the outside. It is coming from within—what Christians are doing to Christianity themselves.

Opinions. Everyone has them. Christians share them freely—about the WNBA, about politics, about the Bible—often without having read it. And in doing so, the testimony of Christ is damaged, the uniform of Christ is dishonored, and the enemy scores a victory without firing a single shot.

The military has a term for it: "combat ineffective." A unit that can no longer fight. That can no longer do its job. The devil does not need to silence Christians. He just needs to get them talking—loudly, wrongly, and without Scripture.

It only takes a few seconds for anger to take control—but those few seconds can damage relationships that took years to build.

You do not have to respond immediately.

Pause long enough to ask: Will my next words reflect Christ, or only my frustration?
