Late post - Praising God for another successful Annual Christmas Toy Giveaway on Sunday, 12/21/2025, at Ellis Memorial Church of God in Christ "The Haven of Hope" with Bishop Morris O. Jenkins Jr. We were able to be a blessing to many families with free new toys, homemade meals, school supplies, hygiene items, prayers and much more. There were hugs and encouragement along with the love of God expressed in many ways. Sending a BIG THANK YOU to our community partners, donors, volunteers, the Ellis Memorial Church family and Gabriela Yanez, our Spanish interpreter. A job well done. To God be the Glory!!!!

Praising God for another successful Annual Coat Drive. We were able to provide warmth to many souls. Next, we will go out to the streets to minister and distribute to our homeless brothers and sisters . Therefore, we are still accepting donations. Ellis Memorial COGIC spent Thanksgiving serving our community in Houston, TX. We started with worship services then served free Thanksgiving dinners. We distributed food boxes and prayed and encouraged all souls that came by. God was glorified. Our Pastor is Bishop Morris O Jenkins Jr.

On Saturday, August 9, 2025, we hosted a Community Give Away at Evangelist Temple COGIC located on MLK Blvd in the South Park community. We were blessed to serve approximately 454 people in the community. We were honored to be the hands and feet of Jesus as we poured love into our community. Through the grace and provision of God, we were able to bless families with food, clothing, household goods, back to school supplies and so much more.
This was more than just giving away items, it was about sharing hope, encouragement, and the reminder that God sees and cares for each of us.

Late post from Friday: The Ellis Memorial COGIC Missions Team was out on the streets of Houston. We prayed and encouraged our brothers and sisters along with distributing approx. 110 sack lunches, cold water, Bible tracts and toiletry items. We were greeted with warmth, smiles and Happy Mother's Day greetings. We love ministering on the streets. TGBTG

Late post from yesterday. Ellis Memorial COGIC Annual Community Giveaway was a huge success. We were able to be a blessing to approximately 200 souls, Our Pastor, Bishop Morris O. Jenkins Jr., was present to support and greet our community.. Our Evangelism and Culinary Teams were excellent. We served free hot food and door prizes were given out.
