How often do we pray small because we don't want to be disappointed?

Paul reminds us that God isn't limited by our small imaginations. He operates in holy superabundance.

If you've been praying hesitant prayers lately, this is your sign to stop shrinking your requests.

Comment 🙌 if you needed this reminder today, and share it with a friend who needs to pray bigger.

Those birds aren’t just flying next to each other; they are part of a vast, interconnected journey. We are, too.

In a world that can feel so disconnected, our unity in diversity is a powerful thing. When we gather as a community, something beautiful and bigger than any one of us happens. We don't just share the gospel, we become the message.

Want to explore the bigger picture? Watch our most recent sermon - https://fpchouston.org/sermon/brought-near-to-be-built-up-modern-gatherings/

Have you ever wanted to just saw your house in half and move it down the block to get away from a neighbor or a situation?

Some of us build walls of hostility, distance, and silence. And we hide behind them to get away from God or from the people around us.

But God didn't leave us hiding. Ephesians 2 says, "He has made the two groups one. He has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility."

He didn't ask us to tear the wall down ourselves. He tore it down for us, through the cross.

The cross doesn't just connect us to God. It connects us. Vertically to Him, and horizontally to everyone around us.

And He came and preached peace. Peace to those who were far away, and peace to those who were near.

So the question isn't whether the wall has been torn down. The question is whether we'll step through the opening He already made.

Equality isn't a modern trend. It’s a Gospel mandate. In Christ, every barrier of culture, class, and gender is already gone.

So why are we still building walls?

If you’re tired of performing and ready for real peace, we invite you to join us. There’s a place for you here

Pretending to be "fine" is actually pretty exhausting.

We’re so busy rebranding our messes that we forget we’re allowed to just have them. But here is the thing. If we keep hiding our shadows, we’ll never actually feel the warmth of the light.

The joy isn't in being perfect. The joy is in being fully known and still fully loved. Just as you are. Right now.
