Today, I received an unexpected phone call from someone I ministered to four years ago. During our conversation, she shared how my social media posts had helped her navigate some difficult times. She mentioned that she could sense I was filled with the Holy Spirit through my writing, and she felt the Spirit moving through my words. I explained that I only write what the Holy Spirit leads me to, and that it’s the LORD who guides my words. She said she knew that was true because my posts addressed the exact challenges she was facing at the time.

What really moved me was when she shared how my acts of obedience in writing those messages had a lasting impact, not only on her but on others as well. She regularly forwards my messages to her friends and family, and each time, the responses are filled with gratitude and amazement. Many have called her back asking, "Who is this woman? She is truly Spirit-led." The fact that my obedience to God's leading has reached beyond the original recipient to touch the lives of people I’ve never met is humbling. It’s a reminder that when we obey God, the ripple effects can extend far beyond what we see.

Toward the end of our conversation, she asked if she could pray for me. I gladly accepted, and as she prayed, I was reminded of Genesis 12:3: "I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."

Her simple act of praying for me was truly a blessing, affirming that God’s hand is at work through every step of obedience. The seeds of encouragement planted in obedience continue to grow, impacting lives in ways only the Lord can orchestrate.

As I was doing my makeup yesterday, I began to reflect on how many of us use makeup to cover up our blemishes and flaws. Makeup acts as a mask, concealing those aspects of ourselves we don’t want the world to see. Some even use it to enhance their natural beauty. But as I thought more about this, I realized that no matter how stunning we may appear on the outside, many of us are walking around feeling brokenhearted, depressed, hopeless, and helpless on the inside.

As I applied my foundation, I thought about Jesus. His blood, like a concealer, was shed for our sins. For those of us who have accepted His gift of salvation, His sacrifice becomes the foundation of our relationship with our Heavenly Father. This made me see how makeup can, in some ways, symbolize Jesus' act of covering us and reconciling our relationship with God. However, there is one significant difference. At the end of the day, we wash off our makeup to prevent damage to our skin. But the blood of Jesus saved us from eternal death, cleansing us and making us as white as snow – a covering that never fades.

Then, I thought about powder. When applied after foundation, powder sets the makeup in place, providing a smooth, finished look, and helping to keep everything intact throughout the day. In a similar way, Jesus' act of saving us not only covers our sins (like the foundation) but also seals us with His love and grace. Just as powder helps maintain our appearance, Jesus' presence in our lives helps us stay grounded, giving us strength and assurance. Powder absorbs excess oil and shine, much like how Jesus absorbs our fears, anxieties, and burdens. He takes on the "excess" that threatens to overwhelm us, allowing us to walk through life with peace and confidence. Unlike powder that requires reapplication, Jesus’ act is eternal and steadfast, continually renewing and refreshing us from within.

As I applied lipstick, I saw it as a way of adding color and vibrancy, much like how Jesus brings joy and life to our hearts. His love gives us a reason to speak words of hope, kindness, and truth, much like how lipstick draws attention to our lips. Eyeliner, which defines and accentuates our eyes, reminded me of how Jesus opens our spiritual eyes to see His truth and purpose for our lives. It sharpens our vision, just as Jesus’ teachings guide us and provide clarity in our daily walk. He helps us see beyond our flaws and circumstances, illuminating the path we are meant to follow.

In reflecting on this, I realized that while makeup may fade and need reapplication, Jesus' act of saving us is eternal. His love, grace, and forgiveness continuously enhance our inner beauty and give us a lasting sense of identity and purpose, covering us in a way that makeup never could.

Years ago, when I turned fifty, I was asked to create a birthday wish list. Since I knew I my sister was starting a charm bracelet for me, I included several charms I wanted, including a microphone charm.

However, no one bought that microphone charm for me, so I decided to buy it myself and add it to my bracelet. A few months later, a close friend and I were talking about my bracelet—I may have been wearing it at the time. I mentioned that no one had gotten me the microphone charm, so I had to get it myself. She replied, "I didn't see you as a speaker back then. That's why I didn't buy it."

What my friend didn't know was that God had already called me to be a speaker. I had insight that she simply didn’t have.

I’m sharing this story with you because so many of us are unknowingly led away from our purpose by well-meaning loved ones who believe they’re giving us good advice. But let me remind you: good advice is not always godly advice.

When God gives you a vision, you must follow it. When you’re uncertain about what to do next, seek Him. And be mindful of who you turn to for advice—make sure they’re grounded in God's Word. Often, people offer guidance based on their limited perspective, experiences, or even from places of pain, fear, or doubt. Before you seek advice from others, ensure they are in a spiritual position to provide you with wisdom that aligns with God’s plan for your life.

Had I listened to my friend’s perspective instead of God's calling, I would have missed out on the incredible path He had laid out for me. Remember, it's not about what others see; it's about what God knows.

Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Happy Saturday!!! This morning as I was preparing to attend this conference, " What's Your Midnight," I was conversing with the LORD about what was on my heart.

As I minister to you with this word, know I am ministering to myself as well, the LORD reminded me of this scripture, "A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men." Proverbs 18:16.

Listen, that person who does not see your greatness, God did not allow them to because He did not want them to take credit for what you carry when the appointed time comes for you to release it to the world. Why? Because that person didn't give you the gifts, God did, and they had no hand in you being ushered into the rooms you will walk in. You see some people love to brag and boast about how they made you, gave you the opportunity and can take you down When you don't do ehat they want you to do. So, if you didn't get the promotion, the job, the business deal, from him, her or them, thank God for protecting and shielding you from their arrogance in thinking that they are your creator, made you who you are, and got you where you are. Good God almighty! I feel alright this morning!!!

So go on with your day, thank God for what you have and ask him what is the plan for your life. Be Blest, enjoy your Saturday.

I'm back in H-Town!

I want to share an interesting experience with you. Every time I board an airplane, before I even step inside, I place my right hand on the outside of the plane and pray, asking God to bless the flight and grant us safe travels. Today was no different. As I was boarding, I moved past the gentleman in front of me, put my hand on the plane, and started praying. I heard someone say, "Amen."

I looked up, and the man in front of me had already boarded. The lady behind me followed my lead and began praying as well. The gentleman behind her touched the plane’s door and prayed too. When I was finding my seat, the man who had been in front of me approached and said, "You’ve made a believer out of me. I've never seen anyone pray before getting on a plane, and I fly back and forth from Africa all the time. From this day forward, I’ll pray before every flight. Thank you, ma'am, for setting the example." I smiled and took my seat.

So, why am I sharing this? Because your life should reflect who you truly are. I didn’t have to say a word—my actions spoke for me.

Now, what do your actions say about you?

There sermon that changed my life!

Back in 2008, I was faced with have to make a critical decision, I did not know what to I was going to do. I remember going to our Church Anniversary Service and the guest Pastor spoke on a topic entitled, " Where Do We Go From Here" it was if that titled was specifically for me. The Pastor took the text from II Kings 7:3-20 ( please read it in your spare time for context).

This sermon spoke to me because much like the text in this chapter, I had to make a decision, I could either go back to a dead-end situation, stay in a situation that was currently killing me, or move forward not knowing what lied ahead. I knew what was behind me, and what was currently going on was not sustainable so my only choice was to move forward. This encourages and remind us to:

1. Step out on faith even in the face of uncertainty. Sometimes, progress requires stepping out in faith, even when the path seems risky or unclear.Though I did not know what lied ahead of me I knew I could not go back to that situation I left, I also knew I could no longer stay where I was, I was tired and I needed to move forward with my life.

2. Share the Blessings and Good News with Others: When the lepers discovered the abundance of food, they could have kept it to themselves, but they realized it was wrong to do so. We are called to share God’s blessings and good news with others, especially when they are in need. I am sharing this with you because I was reminded of God’s goodness this morning and it was placed on my heart to share my story because someone needs to hear it's okay to move forward, you do not have to be afraid or feel guilty feel doing so.

3.Trust God’s Word despite doubt and unbelief:
Elisha’s prophecy was fulfilled exactly as he said, but those who doubted or acted in disbelief faced consequences. God’s promises are sure, and we should trust His word, even when circumstances seem impossible. In that moment, I felt helpless, like I had no way out. But, I also felt God could make a way for me.

4. Your blessings are not all in one place.
Just as the lepers went from tent to tent gathering things so will you. All of your blessings are not in one place. It might be time for you leave where you are to go to another place, get another job. Go update your resume. It may be time for you to find another mentor. Start researching for another grant, sponsor, etc. Just because certain resources are stretched thin, that doesn’t mean your options have run out. There are always alternative pathways, hidden assets, and new strategies waiting to be discovered. You need to understand God is your source and he has an unlimited supply of what you need but you must be in the right place to receive it.

The revelations I received from this sermon literally changed my life!

Heavenly Father, I pray this post is received by the person you intended to receive it. Father give them the courage to make the decision to move forward, the strength to take the necessary steps, faith in your word and trust in the process to grow and develop them. And Father through it all grant them peace. In Jesus name Amen.

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32

Many of you are still in bo***ge because you have not been exposed to the truth. However, others are still held captive because they have been exposed to the truth but refuse to embrace it.

This scripture says the truth shall set you free. I encourage you to seek truth, embrace it, and act upon it to be freed from whatever it holding you hostage.

As Christians, we must recognize when we are in spiritual warfare. The Bible says, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6:12). To overcome the wiles of the enemy, you must first understand who the enemy is. A big part of that is knowing whom you are fighting. Everything is spiritual and has significance in the spiritual realm, no matter how insignificant it may seem.

For example, imagine you are on your way to lead a Bible study or attend a prayer meeting, and suddenly your car breaks down. At first glance, it may seem like a simple mechanical issue, but in reality, it could be an attack from the enemy designed to impede you from doing the work of the Lord. This is not just a random inconvenience—it’s an attempt to frustrate you, distract you, and prevent you from fulfilling your purpose. Recognizing such attacks for what they are is crucial in spiritual warfare.

Here’s what the Bible says about the wiles of the enemy:

1. Deception: "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:14). The enemy often disguises himself to deceive us, making us believe that what is evil is good and what is good is evil.

2. Temptation: "Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil" (Matthew 4:1). The enemy tries to tempt us away from God's path by appealing to our desires and weaknesses.

3. Accusation: "For the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night" (Revelation 12:10). Satan is constantly accusing believers before God, trying to condemn and bring guilt upon them.

To stand firm against the enemy, Christians are encouraged to read their Bible to understand who they are in Christ, who the enemy is, and how to use biblical principles to overcome the enemy. The Word of God is our sword (Ephesians 6:17), and knowing it empowers us to combat the enemy effectively.

We often lose the battle because our ignorance works against us. For it is written, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6). Don’t let ignorance be your downfall—equip yourself with the knowledge of God’s Word and stand firm in the victory that Christ has already won for us.

Disclaimer: This message may offend you, but get over your offense and receive your deliverance.

It is written, "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender." This highlights how debt places you under the control of your creditors. Proverbs 22:7

For some, the enemy exploits this by turning your good credit against you, as you continually shift your debt from one lender to another because they offer zero interest, prolonging your financial captivity. Not understanding you still owe someone.

Some of you are buying things you don't need because you are trying to fill some sort of emotional void.(if not a void trying to fill a void it's greed/ otherwise impulusive/compulsive behavior)

Some of you are living above your means and trying to keep up with the Jones.(spirit of envy)

Some of you are bad money managers and need a better relationship with money. (Lack of knowledge in handling money)

Some of you just lack discipline.(won't follow budget or save)

Whatever your issue is you need to come out of agreement with that spirit and seek God for a strategy to get out of debt.

Do not say this pray unless you desire change, this is a personal pray.

Heavenly Father, I come to you seeking forgiveness for not being a good steward over what you blessed I with. Father, I desire a strategy to get out of debt. Teach me oh LORD how to be a better steward over the things that you have given me. In Jesus Name Amen

I just read an interesting post, it said, "My identity and situation does not define me. My name carriers weight. It has meaning."

This post is interesting to me because the premise is incorrect, let me explain. What does not define you is your situation. However, your identity does define you and is tied to your name. Why, because your name carries meaning. For instance, Jesus told Simon, he was calling him Peter (Rock). Now rock is symbolic to strength and stability (solid foundation), which is Peter.

The bible says, "A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold." Proverbs 22:1.

This scripture speaks to the identity, character if you will of a person....
..and the only way to have a name that carriers weight is to understand who you are (meaning learn your identity) and walk in it.

Now why am I sharing this? Because as Christians we have got to stop coming into agreement with things that sound good but are not biblical correct. All through the bible are scriptures of God telling people their names and revealing who they are. He changed Abram name to Abraham (Father of Nations), An angel of the LORD called Gideon (Mighty man of Valor) and God told Jeremiah he was a Prophet. Above all that, Yahweh revealed himself to us through his covenant names Jehovah Jireh (the LORD who Provides), Jehovah Rapha (the LORD who Heals), Jehovah Nissi (The LORD is my Banner) to list a few.

So you see, your name is very much tied to your identity.

Before you come into agreement with anyone or anything, make sure it aligns with the Word of God (study the Word of God). Everything that sounds good to you is not sent from God, nor of him. Be Blest

Pst, hey Sister, That trial you are going through, ask God what's it purpose. Is it to teach you something, purge something, or develop your faith or something else. Yes, there are lessons in your trials that will help you in a future season.

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.( James 2:1-4)

Listen, in order to do anything great or be successful, you must have the right mindset!

You mindset determines whether you are successful or not. Why because your perspective, decision-making and subsequent outcomes are based on your mindset.
