Lord, as this country moves into uncharted territory, be our guide. Breath a fresh anointing on us, in Jesus' name.

Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:24

Hope isn't just optimism. It is a profound trust in the character of God and in His promise. The promise that God is an ever-present help in times of trouble. It is an unwavering belief that The Lord is our God, The Lord God Almighty. Hope is not passive but is action. It gives us the power to face challenges head-on knowing we are not alone. It reassures us that we can move forward and advance against any obstacles that comes our way. In the same chapter of Psalm verse 22 it says, In my alarm I said, "I am cut off from your sight!" yet You heard my cry for mercy when I called to You for help. What is your hope in? I pray it is in The Lord of the universe because He sees you, even when you don't see Him! Be Encouraged!

Being Victorious!
Walking in victory with the Lord is not an easy thing to do. We all want to be victorious, but to have that victory we must follow Christ. It means following after Jesus and pattering our lives after His, to be a disciple of Christ. Discipleship is at the center of the Christian life. Discipleship is not something we do occasionally or when we feel like it. No! It is something we do every day. Denying ourselves of earthly pleasures or what we want is a daily commitment. Humbly following Christ and taking up our cross daily is true victory.
Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. Luke 9:23-24 NLT

Words matter. Your words matter. God's words matter.
"For out of the heart the mouth speaks." Matthew 12:34b NKJV
The word of God is from the Heart of God, the God who loves us. His abundance of love speaks to us when He says, "Don't be afraid, for I am with you." God's words are true when He says, "I will strengthen you and help you." Take the words of God and hide them in your heart, so you can say them whenever you need encouragement. Say them out loud. Speak those words back to God, and then thank Him for holding you up in His victorious, righteous right hand! Be Encouraged!

In this hurry up, I need, I gotta have, I gotta get, I gotta do, world we live in, do we ever take the time to take in God? To take a moment and breathe Him in as He breathes in us. The sabbath is not the only day to rest and acknowledge our Creator. We can stop anytime, anywhere and rest in Him. As you read that familiar Psalm below, realize what God has done, what God is doing and what God wants to do in your life. The Lord is your shepherd, He will never leave you or forsake you. He will always provide for your needs and guide you on the right path. Be Encouraged

The truth is, His grace is sufficient in every area of our lives. That is freedom in itself. The word of God is truth, the only real and saving truth. Not just in terms of our salvation and peace. It is truth that will save us from the lies and wickedness of this dark and lost world.
In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1. John 14:6 reads, Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Jesus and the word are truth! To know them, to know Him, Jesus Christ is true freedom. Be Encouraged!

God is working for the good to manifest in our lives. However, we may not be working for the same good or we might not be the one God is working for. In order to receive the good God is working for our lives, we have to ask the question, "Do I love God?" The good God is working, is for those who love God. How do we know if we love God? He told us how we know in John 14:15. "If you love me, keep my commands". John 13:34 says, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."
Our first responsibility is to walk in love. Love for God, and love for our fellow man. Then the good work God wants to do in our lives will begin to surface. God says in Psalm 1:3, "That person will be like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields it fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither-whatever they do prospers."
It all starts with love. Love God. Love His Word, Love others.
