Handling a great, God-given leadership team involves leading with humility, service, and empowerment, focusing on developing others, and cultivating genuine relationships that will build a lasting legacy, rather than personal glory.
Key “Intentions” include:
Listening actively, delegating meaningfully, creating growth opportunities, modeling integrity, and celebrating team successes to honor and glorify God.
Prioritize the team's needs and invest in your leaders by providing growth opportunities, mentoring, and delegating meaningful work so they can surpass You as the visionary, overseer, founder etc.
Be a transparent, honest, and reliable leader, modeling the character of Christ (love, patience, kindness) and seeking God's guidance in all decisions.
Recognize all your team's gifts as God-given, view challenges as opportunities for growth, and ensure your leadership reflects His glory.
Pay attention to your team's ideas, value their experiences and praise their strengths, foster collaboration, disciple and build supportive relationships.
Clearly communicate purpose and involve them in strategic decisions, making them feel valued and essential.
Demonstrate the work ethic, character, and faith you expect from them, being accountable and taking responsibility.
Create avenues for skill development, problem-solving, and leadership training, ensuring the team's impact extends beyond your tenure.
Leading in this manner will build a resilient remnant, and create a lasting, multiplying impact.
Lastly, always follow Jesus' model by serving others, not seeking to be served and keep your discernment heighten to recognize your seasons of shifting / Issachar times.
Colossians 3:23
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters".
