Perfection isn’t found in our efforts, opinions or the constantly fluctuating standards set by men. Those things only keep us bound & anxious in a perpetual cycle of trying to obtain what’s already been established by God. Let’s look for it where it actually is … in His unchanging Law that stands stable throughout all the many ages!

When we accept this our souls will rejoice being loosed from perfections chains & thus freed to just be!

John 6:28-29 “What must we do to do the works God requires?”

Perhaps we’ve complicated Christianity just a bit (or a whole lot). Seemingly we think that in order to be in right standing with God, & thus be usable, that we have to do something. Possibly make a promise of perfect church attendance, a financial commitment, or at the very least our “bad” behaviors be a thing of the past.

And not that we want to miss it in any area or willfully do wrong; but, Jesus said our work was this … “To believe in the one He has sent.”

Where to go, what to give, & how to behave are all secondary to believing. When we believe right we will do right!

Think on it Thursday by Pastor Angie Hughes Isaiah 53:1 Whose report are you going to believe?

I can’t imagine any one of us allowing Satan, himself, to sit at our kitchen table & tell us what losers we are, how our families will be destroyed, & how our futures are destined for failure. Wouldn’t we enforce the victory Jesus paid for & command he leave? Why then do we entertain his thoughts (which is exactly what we’re doing when we allow his words to ruminate in our minds)?

Come out from under the weight of his lies & believe the report of the Lord which is encrypted in Scripture & specifically in each “In Him” , “Through Him” , & “With Him” verse! They are what should be our hearts delight & every single moments meditation … It is in them that we are to believe!
