Br Mahmoud Sharfa passed away , He was long time volunteers and imam for our masjid. He was one of the pioneer of prison Dawah . His janzah will be held this Friday (9/4/26) after Jummah (1:30 pm ) in masjid Abu Bakr (highway 3)
Please pray for him . May Allah SWT accept all of his good deeds, forgive him for any shortcomings, and grant him maghfirah and jannatul Firdaus - Ameen

He was giving shahadah to a brother in Mariam center .

Shawaal moon has not been cited .

following the Eid declaration issued by AMJA and the Houston Moon Sighting Committee, and based on the absence of any credible global or local moon sighting, tomorrow will complete 30 days of Ramadan. Eid Al-Fitr will be on Friday, March 20, 2026.

We will have Eid prayer at our masjid ( 8007 Spencer Hwy )

The exact night corresponding to Laylat ul Qadr is unknown, however what is known for certain is that Laylat ul Qadr is among the last ten nights of Ramadan.one of the strongest opinion is that laylatul Qadr is 27th night of Ramadan .

The companion Ubay ibn Ka’ab says in a hadith authentically narrated by Muslim:

“By Allah, I know about laylat ul Qadr and I know it fully well that it is the twenty-seventh night (during Ramadan) on which the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) commanded us to observe prayer.”

As we approach the blessed 27th night of Ramadan, one of the most hopeful nights to seek Allah’s mercy and reward, we ask you to support your masjid and land project .

Alhamdulillah we were able to purchased the land . We couldn’t have done it without donors like you . We would like to pay off the land by this year InshaaAllah with your help .
We paid about $340k (2024 ) . Need 260k to pay off and secured the land to start construction for our new masjid in the heart of Laporte, Tx .
