In-Person Camp Info - SUPER LONG POST! :
We have received questions regarding in person camp this summer.... below is some information as to where we are at with this ministry:
We are encouraging Living Word Families who are comfortable sending their kids to camp at Lutherhill to register their children for Week 1. That is the week that Mark & Pastor Ariel plan to attend if they are able.
On-site Day camp at Living Word is currently a maybe. At this point we HOPE we will be able to hold Camp Living Word & Camp Jam and are dilligently working toward that goal. Much of that will depend on infection trends closer to the time of camp, the ability to safely execute camp, having enough volunteers, and Lutherhill continuing the day camp ministry this summer.
At this point Lutherhill plans to hold day camps, but there are a lot of factors they are thinking through that could change that. Living Word also has a lot of factors to think through and obstacles to overcome.
With all of this said - it is our plan to hold camp in July. The biggest need we have to make that possible is volunteers. It takes about 30 volunteers a week, in addition to the Lutherhill staff, to have camp run smoothly. If we don't get enough people, then there is no way to make it happen. Once we have determined we have enough volunteers, the registration forms will go live. Our hope is by the end of March.
If you or anyone you know is interested in volunteering please contact Pastor Ariel or Mr. Mark.
