You were never meant to just sit around.

We've never been saved just to sit. We've been saved to do God's good works that He's prepared in advance.

The marriage supper of the Lamb is the wedding celebration described in Revelation 19, where Jesus the groom is joined to His church, the bride. If that language feels foreign, it is because almost none of us have been to a wedding like the one John's first readers had in mind. Understand how weddin...

EVERYTHING THAT MADE LIFE HARD GETS REVERSED

The Book of Revelation is a pretty violent story. There's a lot going on. Then chapter seven pauses for an interlude, and it's the most tender passage in the whole book.

God Himself spreads His tabernacle over them. He shelters them with His presence, and that presence becomes the permanent shelter. It's the picture of the Feast of Tabernacles.

Revelation 21:3 echoes it: "The tabernacle of God is with man." So the wandering is over. The wilderness is behind us. God Himself is the dwelling place now.

Heaven is active. We're blessing God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, together, without ceasing.

Isaiah 49:10 sits underneath all of it, quoted almost directly in verses 16 and 17: "They shall not hunger or thirst, neither scorching wind nor sun shall strike them. For He who has pity on them will lead them, and by springs of water will guide them."

Those words were written to the children of Israel coming back from Babylon. John applies them to the ultimate exodus, the final homecoming of the redeemed from every nation.

Notice the comforts come listed in the negative: no hunger, no thirst, and no scorching heat. Every one of them reverses something that made earthly life difficult, so the ache goes, and the God who led them there stays.
