Happy Juneteenth, Family! ✊🏾✨

The history of the AME Church is inextricably linked to the history of Black liberation. Long before the news of freedom made its way to Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865, our founders walked out of St. George’s Methodist Episcopal Church to declare that spiritual and physical bo***ge had no place in the Kingdom of God.

Juneteenth is a powerful reminder that freedom is a journey requiring constant vigilance, intentional education, and bold leadership. As missionaries, our modern mandate is to continue breaking chains—chains of economic disparity, systemic educational inequality, and spiritual despondency.

Today, we celebrate our resilience, our joy, and our divine right to lead. Celebrate beautifully, stay safe, and let’s keep moving forward!

Today, the entire African Methodist Episcopal Church pauses in holy remembrance. Eleven years ago on June 17, nine beautiful souls were martyred inside Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, during a sacred space of Bible study.

We remember their names, their faith, and their radical hospitality:

✨ Pastor Clementa C. Pinckney
✨ Cynthia Marie Graham Hurd
✨ Susie Jackson
✨ Ethel Lee Lance
✨ Depayne Middleton-Doctor
✨ Tywanza Sanders
✨ Rev. Dr. Daniel Simmons
✨ Rev. Sharonda Coleman-Singleton
✨ Myra Thompson

Our grief remains a catalyst. The Women’s Missionary Society stands firm in our prophetic tradition—fighting against racial terror, standing against gun violence, and continuing to preach a gospel of liberation, equity, and peace. We honor their legacy by refusing to grow weary in the work of justice.

🌍 20 Districts. One Voice. Infinite Power.

No matter the distance, time zones, or oceans that separate us, prayer is the thread that binds the Connectional Women's Missionary Society together. Before the busy weekend of ministry begins, let us pause to lift one another up.

Whether you are serving in the 1st District, the 12th District, or the 20th District—your burdens are our burdens, and your victories are our victories. Let this thread become our global altar space today.

“Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” — Matthew 18:20

🙏 Leave a word of encouragement or a specific prayer need below. Let’s pray for our global sisterhood.

From the classroom to the community, our young people are stepping into their divine assignments! 🎓✨

Education has always been a cornerstone of the African Methodist Episcopal tradition. Today, we salute every high school, college, and post-graduate student across the Connection—especially our brilliant young women who are breaking barriers and shifting paradigms.

To the class of 2026: You are not just the future; you are the right now. As you receive your diplomas, remember that you are uniquely equipped for such a time as this. We stand on the shoulders of trailblazers, and the Women’s Missionary Society is here to support, mentor, and clear the path for you to soar.

📣 Sisters, let’s celebrate them! Drop the name, school, and Episcopal District of your graduate in the comments so we can shower them with love!

Leadership in the Kingdom of God never begins with a title—it begins on our knees.

When we say we are Anointed to Serve, we are acknowledging that our capacity to lift others up comes directly from the Holy Spirit. Anointing isn't given for prestige; it is given for the press—the work of reaching the vulnerable, organizing our communities, and strengthening the hands of our sisters across the globe.

As we enter this historic month of June, let us ground ourselves in our foundational mandate: to love mercy, do justly, and walk humbly with our God (Micah 6:8).

💙 How can I pray for you and your local WMS society this week? Drop your prayer requests below.

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice reminds us of the cost of freedom and the responsibility we carry to serve with integrity, compassion, and courage.

As a global WMS sisterhood, we pray for the families who continue to bear the weight of loss, for veterans who still carry the memories of battle, and for communities around the world impacted by conflict.

May we honor their legacy through lives committed to peace, justice, and faithful service — remaining anointed to serve and empowered to lead in every place God calls us.

On this Pentecost Sunday, we celebrate the power of the Holy Spirit that still moves, still speaks, and still strengthens us for the work of ministry.

As a global WMS sisterhood, we stand in the same Spirit that empowered the early Church — a Spirit that unites nations, ignites purpose, and equips every believer to serve with courage and lead with conviction.

Today, we pray for fresh fire across our Connection, renewed strength for our missionaries, and a deeper spiritual awakening among our young women rising in leadership.

May the wind of God breathe new life into our mission as we remain anointed to serve and empowered to lead.

Celebrating Every Heart that Nurtures
To the women who build, the women who heal, and the women who lead—Happy Mother’s Day! 🌸

Today, we honor the beautiful diversity of motherhood. Whether you are a biological mother, an auntie, a mentor, or a "mother to many" in your community, your influence is a divine assignment.

As we reflect on our calling to be Anointed to Serve and Empowered to Lead, we recognize that motherhood in all its forms is one of the highest acts of service. It is the leadership of the heart that changes the world, one person at a time.

To every woman pouring out love, wisdom, and strength: May you be poured back into today. You are seen, you are loved, and you are essential.

Lord, Make Us One in Prayer and Purpose
On this National Day of Prayer, we join our voices with believers across the world, lifting our families, our churches, and our communities before God.

As women committed to mission and ministry, we know that prayer is where our service begins and where our strength is renewed. Today, we pray for unity across our global WMS sisterhood, for the empowerment of young women stepping into leadership, and for spiritual growth in every place we are called to serve.

May God guide our hands, steady our hearts, and strengthen our witness as we remain anointed to serve and empowered to lead.
