We live out our purpose as we are led and filled with the Holy Spirit. But what does walking by the Spirit look like? What has helped you maintain a Spirit-directed lifestyle?

As believers, we've been given the Holy Spirit. The moment we trust Christ for salvation, He comes to live in us through the presence of His Holy Spirit. God Himself comes to indwell us and empower us to holy living. As we encounter challenges along the way, His Holy Spirit strengthens us to stand strong. In the journey toward Christlikeness, the Spirit equips us and empowers us to live in full obedience to God. The only way any of us can do what is right is when we walk by the Spirit. Wow, that's a lot to unpack. Join us for Bible study this afternoon as we discuss these truths.

Have you ever restored an old car or a piece of furniture? The process begins with something that is old, worn, and often ready to be discarded and brings it back to the proper functioning state. New paint, parts, and lots of hard work, go into restoring the item. Fortunately the humanity, the work needed to bring us back to our intended purpose was completed by Jesus's finished work on the cross. Jesus's purpose in His death impacts our purpose in life.

God has created each person with a purpose. His purpose for us surpasses anything we could ever think or imagine for ourselves. So, what gets in the way of us living in that purpose - sin. This week's session will address what happens when we abandon our purpose because of sin and how God can restore our purpose when we turn back to Him.

Too many of us go through life without purpose or ever realizing God created us with a purpose in mind. Life can be mundane and even carry a sense of hopelessness, but that was never God's intent for us. God created us with a purpose, and when we discover that purpose is Christ, life takes on a meaning and richness the world can't offer. Please join us for Restored Bible Study this Sunday, September 15th, (after regular service and a meal) around 1:00, at Grace Methodist Church in Hosford.

Week 1- Purpose Questioned

"What is my purpose in life?" At some point, we have all asked the question - King Solomon did. Although he was known for being wise, he still sought to understand the meaning of life. His conclusion was simple. Without God, life is meaningless, and my purpose will not be understood.

We are flawed human beings. Because of sin in our lives, we need restoration. We don't just need "a new lease on life," we need a full restoration. However, to be restored to the life and purpose God created us for requires outside help. None of us are capable of doing this on our own.b
