Barnabas Ministries is an interdenominational ministry to pastors. We work to connect pastors and pastoral leaders in John 17:23 pastoral support groups so they are encouraged, inspired and enabled to pursue kingdom ministry together resulting in the world believing that Jesus is Lord and that God loves them. Our vision is to see every pastor everywhere have the opportunity to be part of a John 17:23 group and develop authentic spiritual and relational unity.

This week, in our series "Exploring Faith in the Bible", we will look at how fear can undermine our faith and prevent us from walking in obedience to God. I look forward to meeting with you this Thursday, June 4, at 8 am EDT (USA).

This week, in our series on Exploring Faith in the Bible, we turn our attention to Mary, the mother of Jesus. We'll explore how she believed (accepted by faith) the angel Gabriel's message about conceiving and giving birth to a son, whom she would name Jesus. Much like Abraham in episode 3, we'll see how Mary walked by faith and not by sight. I look forward to you joining me this Thursday, May 28, at 8 am EDT USA.

This week in our series about faith, we take a deep dive into the faith of Abraham and how he acted upon his belief and trust in God. Join me for this episode as we grow in our knowledge and understanding of how to please God with our faith. I look forward to seeing you this Thursday, May 21, at 8 am EDT USA.

Last week, our series on faith kicked off, and this week we're diving deeper into what the author of Hebrews meant in Hebrews 11:6. He wrote, "And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him." Join me for this episode as we grow in our knowledge and understanding of how to please God with our faith. I look forward to seeing you this Thursday, May 14, at 8 am EDT USA.

Faith. The Greek word is pistis and means assurance, belief, believe, and fidelity. Hebrews 11:6 says it is impossible to please God without it. Jesus told his disciples when they asked why they couldn’t cast out a demon from a young boy that if they had faith even as small as a mustard seed, they could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,” and it would move. (MT 17:20) In this week’s devotion, we will begin to unpack what the Bible says about faith. I look forward to you joining me this Thursday, May 7, beginning at 8 am EDT USA.

Matiki Bornface Lamba ( Malawi John 17:23 group county coordinator) expressed thanks to Barnabas ministry as follows.

I would like to thank Rev Rob and Rev Doug for the great work they have done in Malawi.

During their mission in Malawi , they have managed to meet over 290 pastors in Malawi. They had the opportunity to teach, train pastor leaders, and preach the Gospel both in prison and in different churches in Malawi. The following are the 7 districts visited by Barnabas in Malawi ; Nsanje, Chikwawa, Blantyre, Thyolo, Mulanje, Phalombe and Zomba.

Lastly, I want to thank Rev Rob and Rev Doug for their commitment in serving God through Barnabas ministry ( John 17:23). I believe soon many groups will be formed here in Malawi.

May Almighty Lord continue to bless you all, and we are still with you in prayers.

Yours in service,
Matiki Bornface Lamba ( Malawi).

Lamba Matiki is ready to take leaders through the workshop materials. Rob, left him with a team shirt and Lamba has already set something up for a workshop with a leader in Zomba City with pastors!

Please pray for Rob and Doug as they journey home from Blantyre, Malawi. By now they should be in South Africa with two long flights left and are scheduled to take off as this is posted (3:15 PM EDT). Please pray for their safety, for their luggage to make it, for divine appointments, for their health, and for them to be able to sleep on the plane and be rested. Please also pray for whatever else the Holy Spirit brings to your mind. Thank you for following their trip and for praying. They have felt the prayers and appreciate them greatly!

Sunday, April 19 was Doug and Rob’s last full day in Malawi. With the workshops concluded, both ministered in churches on Sunday. Doug was in Jombo at one of Bishop Lamba’s churches; and Rob was in Miseu 4 at one of Bishop Foster’s churches. Both these leaders have started multiple John 17:23 groups and both assisted and were trained to present the workshop materials.

We thought no pictures were taken Saturday at the church where Doug preached, but there were some. He shared about Peter following Jesus at a distance. Enjoy.
