Day 3 of our Week of Prayer for the Sue Nishikawa Offering

Through your gifts through the Sue Nishikawa Offering for Hawaii Pacific Missions, we provide grants for special projects and outreach events. Pray for Nasa and Caroline Sete and their four children, who will move to Kahuku in 2025.

Pray with us ⬇️
-Pray for them as they have a heart for reaching Tongans and other Polynesians.
- Pray for God’s provision of a home and for them to establish new friendships.
- Pray that it will grow into a vibrant, life-giving, disciple-making, gospel-proclaiming church.

Day 2 of Sue Nishikawa Offering Week of Prayer

Hawaii Pacific Baptist supports, encourages, and equips women as God calls them into service. Ministry to women happens in various forms.

Waiehu Community Church on Maui hosted a Lei Po’o workshop and women’s conference thanks to your gifts and offerings. The events served as an opportunity to reach women in the community and bring women throughout the island to gather to be encouraged through worship, speakers, and fellowship.

- Pray as God uses women’s influence to reach women in different seasons of life.
- Pray for the women in our churches, as they are essential to the growth and health of the church. May the Lord fill them with Godly wisdom and discernment.
- Pray as God calls women to serve their families, the local church, and beyond

Happy 136th birthday, WMU! 🎉 On this day in 1888, a group of women delegates from 12 states formed what is now Woman’s Missionary Union. Annie Armstrong was elected as their first corresponding secretary. The women worked diligently to create a new missions movement — praying and systematically raising money for missions — affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention.

Since May 14, 1888, WMU has helped lead Southern Baptist churches across the country to give over $7.6 billion through the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering and Lottie Moon Christmas Offering — efforts begun by WMU to support missionaries.

WMU’s unwavering focus on making disciples of Jesus who live on mission happens through missions discipleship, leadership development, and compassion ministries, with a kingdom impact in every state and nearly 50 countries. Today, we celebrate all that God has done through WMU for 136 years!
