Bethel, Lyford Installs Pastor Cathy Graham

Sunday, June 7 -- Bethel Lutheran in Lyford, Texas officially installed Pastor Cathy Graham into their congregation.

Pastor Bryce Formwalt, Director of Mission Growth for the LCMC Texas District, presided. The church was filled with family, friends, and members of the community to share in this special occasion.

We welcome Pastor Cathy Graham and offer warm congratulations to both her and the Bethel Lutheran family as they step into this exciting new chapter of ministry together.

As we approach the end of our fiscal year 2025-26, we want to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for the generosity of each congregation in our District. Your ongoing support is a blessing. These contributions allow us to invest in supporting leaders, responding to the needs of congregations, and supporting new congregations within our District. Every contribution plays a part in our mission!

To ensure your congregation's contributions are reflected in the end-of-year report that will be presented at our Annual Gathering in July, we kindly ask that any additional contributions be submitted by July 15. Your faithfulness is a blessing to the entire district.

"But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”-Joshua 24:15

That kind of declaration does not come from a man who is passive about his faith. It comes from a man who has decided. Who has planted his feet. Who understands that the direction of his household is not an accident, it is a choice made daily, in the small moments and the big ones.

To the fathers in our churches across Texas: your family is watching how you lead. They are watching whether you open the Word. Whether you pray over the table. Whether you walk through the doors of the church and mean it. Whether your faith is something you carry into Monday morning or leave at Sunday's door.

You do not have to be perfect. Joshua's generation had wandered too. But he chose, and he led, and his house followed.

That is the call on your life, Dad.

Happy Father's Day to every father in the LCMC Texas District who is standing up and leading his family toward Christ everyday. Your faithfulness today is shaping the generations to come.
