Last MDWk we celebrated Easter together 🐣 we played games, ate pizza, did a scavenger hunt, and took time to talk about what Easter really means
Easter isn’t just a holiday, it’s the reminder that Jesus Christ died for our sins and then rose again, defeating death so we could have a relationship with Him and real, lasting hope 🤍
That’s what it’s all about

We’re excited to announce that registration is now open for Meta 2026! Meta is a discipleship-focused weekend where our youth group (6th-12th grade) joins students from many other churches across the greater Durham area to grow in faith, community, and service.

Event Dates:
📅 Friday-Saturday, February 27-28, 2026
* Students will stay in host homes on Friday and Saturday nights
* During Life Group on Sunday, March 1 (9:00-10:00 AM), students will have a brief opportunity to share how God spoke to them during the weekend
Event Location:
🏠New Horizon Church - three main sessions:
1. Friday night
2. Saturday morning
3. Saturday night
There will also be breakout sessions after the Saturday morning session to explore topics like spiritual growth, evangelism, worldviews, and living out faith in daily life.
Speaker for the weekend:

🎤Henry Lough, youth pastor and former roommate/friend of Michael, will be the speaker for the weekend.

* All meals for the weekend

Service Opportunity:
• Saturday afternoon: Most churches will participate in a service project with Durham Rescue Mission, serving in areas like the cafeteria and thrift store (specific assignments coming later).

We’re excited for Meta 2026 and can’t wait for students to be part of this weekend of growth, connection, and discipleship. More details will be shared as the event gets closer!
