How cool is this! Thank your Franciscan University for creating these incredible opportunities for teens to experience Christ. It is bearing much good fruit of the Church. I am blessed to have been inspired when I was a teen going to a Steubenville Youth Conference, and now I feel honored being able to take teens from Immaculate Conception Church to inspired by Chorst themselves.

Tengo la suerte de haberme inspirado cuando era adolescente yendo a una Conferencia Juvenil de Steubenville, y ahora me siento honrado de poder llevar a los adolescentes de la Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción a inspirados por los propios Chorst.

A new CARA survey found that 18% of priests ordained in 2026 attended a Franciscan University of Steubenville Youth Conference, highlighting the conferences’ growing impact on priestly vocations.

At the August City Council workshop meeting, Father Andres Gutierrez of Immaculate Conception Church presented a letter of appreciation to the Hendersonville Fire Department following a recent incident at the church.

During Mass this past Saturday, a small fire broke out at Immaculate Conception Church. Thanks to the quick response of our public safety professionals, the building was safely evacuated and the situation was brought under control.

Father Gutierrez shared his appreciation for the response saying:

“It was nice to have the reassuring presence, the professionalism of the fire department and the police department as well. It just brought a calm, and everybody was not alarmed... It was the best possible outcome that could've happened in a situation like that.”

We’re grateful for the professionalism, preparedness and calm our City of Hendersonville Fire Department, NC and Hendersonville Police Department NC bring to every call. Thank you for keeping our community safe! ❤️🚒👮‍♂️

Ice cream Social for High School Teens on 8/23 after the 3pm Mass in the St. Joseph Center. Great opportunity to come together after a week of school and enjoy some ice cream with good fellowship. Yes there are other Catholic Teens at the parish and come meet them. The young adult and respect life ministry will be helping host the event. We are going to talk also about some wonderful opportunity for teens to make a difference in their local community for the dignity of life. Hope to see you after the 3pm Mass on Sunday 8/23.

Crema de hielo Social para adolescentes de secundaria el 23 de septiembre después de la misa de 3pm en el Centro St. Joseph. Switching things up this Sunday for High School youth group. We are going to do an activity night. Wear some clothes and shoes you can run around in. One of the activities will be capture the flag.
We will start in the St. Joseph Center with some prayer and praise in Mother Teresa room. Then we will walk over to the Immaculata playground.
Come enjoy some fun, fellowship and prayer with othet teens at the parish. See you tomorrow (August 2nd) at 5:30pm.

The next chapter can be exciting, overwhelming, and full of change. Through Sunday Sendoff, our parish is partnering with and their national Faith Forward movement to intentionally send our young adults into this new season with
prayer, encouragement, and connection.
Because no young person should have to navigate life's transitions without faith and community. Come by the table in the narthex on the weekend at Masses on August 1st-2nd and we will help you get connected with your community before you go to college.
