Dear Church Family and Friends,
If you are contemplating joining Mike and I on a spiritual pilgrimage, “Journey Through the Bible,” October 29-November 8, I invite you to an informal information meeting on Monday, October 10th, at 10 a.m. on the Second floor of the educational building at Henderson First Methodist.
This pilgrimage to Israel will be Mike’s 5th trip, my 2nd trip and 3rd trip to take Pilgrims. We enjoy taking Pilgrims because it is like Vacation Bible School for adults on caffeine. Something extraordinary occurs when we walk in the footsteps of Jesus, John the Baptist, David, Paul, Elijah, Peter, Jacob, Jezebel, Mary, and all the disciples and prophets in the land of the Bible. This pilgrimage will strengthen your understanding of the Bible, bolster your faith, and invigorate your Christian life.
I also invite you to Mikala Annette Mayhugh and Jonathan Robert Teer’s marriage on October 28th at 2 o’clock at Henderson First Methodist. There will also be a Cake and Punch reception in our Great Hall following the service. You do not have to bring a gift; just come and celebrate God bringing two people together. Jon and Mikala seek the blessing of God and the church on their new life together and want you to take part in this important milestone in their lives.
