⛰️ We all need mountaintop moments—worship, retreats, and quiet time—but we aren't meant to stay there.

God’s glory on the mountain equips us for the valley. The valley is where marriages struggle, where neighbors need Jesus, and where real life happens. That’s where the Kingdom actually advances! 🌍

We can't build a shelter around yesterday’s victories while people are still hurting today.

✨ We come to the mountain to hear the King clearly. 🚶‍♂️ We head to the valley to follow Him faithfully.

The mountain fills you, but the valley is where God sends you. 🙌

⛰️ We all love the spiritual highs of the mountaintop, but the Kingdom of God actually advances in the valley.

In Matthew 17, Jesus reveals His brilliant glory on the mountain, but He doesn't stay there. He heads straight back down into the valley where real people are hurting, desperate, and in need of healing.

Here is what this "upside-down" Kingdom teaches us today:

✨ Jesus alone is enough. When the emotional highs fade and the world is stripped away, He is all we need.

🌱 Dependence is power. Mustard-seed faith isn't about manufacturing enormous confidence; it's about placing all the faith you have entirely in Him. "Help my unbelief" is the most honest prayer we can pray.

👑 Surrender over comfort. Jesus willingly laid down His rights and walked toward the cross. He didn't come to be a consultant for the comfortable little kingdoms we build for ourselves—He came to be Ruler.

We often want His power without our dependence, and His salvation without our surrender. But true faith means stepping off the mountain and following the King faithfully into the valley. ⬇️🙌

The world operates in scarcity, telling us to grasp and protect our resources because there might not be enough. But God’s kingdom operates in the endless abundance of our King. 👑✨

We often wait to step out until we feel we have "enough"—enough money, time, ability, or experience. But Jesus simply asks: “Will you trust me with what you have?” 🤲🍞

Don't hold back your "not much." Little becomes much in the hands of the King. 🙌🤍

We continued our "Upside Down Kingdom" series today in Matthew 15-16, exploring how Jesus’ values often seem completely backward to our modern culture. 🙃👑

Five key takeaways from Sunday's message:
🌍 The outsider becomes the example: A Canaanite woman showed more faith than the religious insiders, proving that our position in God's Kingdom is based entirely on our response to the King, not our pedigree or background.

🍞 The empty leave filled: Jesus took seven loaves and fed 4,000 people. We often operate in scarcity, but God’s Kingdom operates in the limitless abundance of our King.

👁️ Those who think they see are actually blind: The religious experts demanded a sign while entirely missing the Messiah standing right in front of them. Knowledge about God cannot become a substitute for knowing God.

✝️ The King wears a cross: Peter wanted a conquering king on a throne, but Jesus came to conquer sin and death through suffering and sacrifice. There is no gospel without the cross.

🤍 You find your life by losing it: Culture tells us to promote, protect, and find ourselves. Jesus tells us to take up our cross, let go of our need for control, and surrender.

Maybe Jesus isn't turning things upside down after all. Sin took God's original design and flipped it—turning possessions into gods, success into significance, and life into something to grasp. Jesus is merely turning everything right-side up. 🔄✨

Are you still trying to be first, or are you ready to place your life into the safest place possible—the hands of the King? 🤲👑

You can look religious and still be far from God.
Jesus had some strong words for the Pharisees—not because they didn’t know the rules, but because their hearts were far from Him.

You can go to church every week.
Sing the songs.
Raise your hands.
Say “Amen.”
Know your Bible.
Serve.
Give.
Even know all the right answers.
And still have a heart that is far from Jesus.

The Kingdom of God isn’t primarily about looking clean on the outside.
Jesus wants to make you clean on the inside. ❤️

So here’s the question:
👉 Are you just going through the motions of faith, or is your heart truly close to Jesus?
