Sunday is here and a new week is upon us. The sounds and smells and sights of Christmas are filling our homes as December makes its way into our tomorrow.
But what is inspiring our hearts? How are we guarding our minds? What is the posture of our spirit?
How will we steward this week with diligence + preparation while not letting it be driven by the anxiety of the unknown, the expectation of perfectionism, or the constant rush of hurry?
This week, we will:
🌟We will wake up with gratitude— for another day, another sunrise, another opportunity to live and love.
We will work with grit— going the extra mile, doing the hard things, letting our why drive our what and our how and our when.
We will walk with grace- our pace in-step with the person of peace and our interactions laced with undeserved kindness, we will welcome Heaven to earth.
🌟We will remember that our body is a temple where the Holy Spirit resides— it is to be treasured, protected, nourished, and encouraged. Seeing it through His eyes allows us to remove the filter of insecurity and replace it with the desire to serve.
🌟We will be aware of what triggers our stress, not playing victims to our lives and our circumstances but rather preparing for victory in our Equipper + Deliverer. Being sober-minded, we will be effective, present, and expectant for the Holy Spirit to guide us forward.
🌟We will make room — no matter what it requires— for silence and solitude. Clearing the clutter and the distractions, we will allow our souls to breathe, our mind to reset, and our hearts to remember our God-given identity. Making room breeds expectation + eagerness to listen to the voice that matters.
🌟We will invite the spirit of Christmas into our hearts, knowing that when we do, it will overflow into our homes. We will prioritize the gift of the Savior above everything and in doing so, everything else will become a gift. Warmth, light, and HOPE will lead us into tomorrow and every day thereafter.
Looking for Jesus will always bring us the richest life because He is always present 🌟

Happy Friday y’all! Kim sent me this weeks ago, (so extremely grateful for her!! 💕) and boy by the end of this week I needed to re read it again, recast some burdens, recenter myself on and in Christ, and remind myself that God is good and his grace is MORE than enough! I know I needed these reminders again this morning. My prayers are also for all of you who might also be needing the reminder that God is with you in your storm, strengthening you, protecting you and providing for you! Call out to him, carve out time for your relationship with him today. He loves you!

Our updates have been getting some attention which is awesome!! Here is a flyer that the amazingly talented Bri Masching created for us that we will be getting to our area churches. If you feel so inclined, feel free to print one off for your church bulletin board. (Please check with your pastor or small group coordinator first to make sure it is ok with your church to do so. I will also hopefully get to meet pastors when I go around passing these out. We want to be respectful of each church’s requirements for small groups)

We are in our 4th year as a life group in the Hayfield area! It’s been an incredible blessing to us in so many ways….and we are just getting started!! 👏🏽

There are so many exciting things to come. We believe we’re stepping into a new season of growth spiritually and feel the calling to connect now more than ever. The world is so broken and so fast paced that often times it’s hard to shut out the noise and hear truth and have peace. We are ready to focus on what the Lord has for us in this next season. We are all about lifting others up, doing life together, digging into God’s word and being a light to our community and all those around us.

And now for the official announcement… a name change!

Hayfield Young Adults 🤝🏽 Rooted in Faith

We have been known as “Hayfield Young Adults” (HYA) from the beginning but we have felt that it’s time to really dig deep and be clear on who we are and what we are trying to do in our community- which includes our surrounding areas! Calling ourselves “Rooted in Faith” (RF) is just the beginning of what we have been planning. We are here to be lights in this world and that calls for having strong roots…both in our faith and as a community. We are stronger when we choose to do life together; the way God intended.

We are an interdenominational Christian life group aiming to connect anyone who is post high school through middle aged, married or single, kids or no kids- all are welcome! We have a designated person to watch kids during our gatherings- your kids are welcome and encouraged to come! Whether you have never heard of Jesus or have been walking with the Lord most of your life; if you attend church every Sunday or can’t remember the last time you sat in a pew…we want to see you, encourage you, support you and grow alongside you! Hope to see you soon!

God bless! 🫶🏽
