When life seems hopeless, look to Jesus. Faith doesn’t erase grief, but Jesus’ resurrection gives us hope that reaches beyond our circumstances.

This week, Pastor John Mark continued our Journey of Grace series with Paul’s visit to Thessalonica. These new believers faced opposition almost immediately, yet they stood firm in their faith. Paul’s encouragement to them speaks to us today: whatever season we’re walking through, God is faithful.

This week in Journey of Grace, Pastor Kendrick followed Paul’s journey to Philippi. Closed doors led him somewhere unexpected, and following God’s direction still brought hardship. Yet even in prison, Paul worshiped and God worked through his circumstances to change lives.

His confidence came from knowing that God was still at work. We can have that same confidence: God has a plan. We can trust His plan and keep pressing forward in faith.

Have you ever had a good week and felt close to God, then had a hard week and wondered if He was disappointed in you?

In this week’s Journey of Grace message, Pastor Kendrick followed Paul’s first missionary journey to Galatia. The churches there had received the good news of Jesus, but they were beginning to believe they had to earn God’s approval. Paul reminded them that grace is a gift we receive by faith and the way we continue to live.

Because of Jesus, you are God’s son or daughter. You can stand firm in the freedom He gives and walk by the Spirit, even when you’re tempted to carry everything in your own strength.

This weekend, we began Journey of Grace: a new series following the life, travels, and writings of the Apostle Paul. 👣

Before Paul became one of the most influential leaders of the early Church, he was known as Saul: a brilliant, passionate, deeply religious man who sincerely believed he was serving God. But while traveling to Damascus to persecute followers of Jesus, everything changed.

Jesus met Saul personally, opened his spiritual eyes, and completely redirected his life. Paul’s story reminds us that sincerity, knowledge, and good intentions cannot replace truly knowing Jesus. The most important question each of us will ever answer is the one Jesus asked His disciples: “Who do you say that I am?”
