There are moments in Scripture that seem almost impossible to comprehend. John 18 records one of those moments.
The Creator stands before His creation. The Judge of all the earth is examined by sinful men. The One who gave the Law is accused by lawbreakers. Truth incarnate is questioned by those who have spent their lives suppressing the truth.

The scene before us in John 18 is not a criminal investigation. It is not a religious proceeding. It is one of the greatest ironies in all of human history. God is on trial.
