A Birthday Gift for Our Lady!
After the beautiful high Mass in honor of Our Lady’s Nativity, the Sisters, Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary received two young ladies, Amellia Marks, and Sarah Sankel as postulants. The postulancy, a six month period, is a prelude to the Novitiate, offering a time of serious discernment while living the life of a Slave of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in community. Amellia, from Louisiana, and Sarah, from New Jersey, have both been Morning Star Campers and Counselors.
Please pray for them as they begin their journey in religious life and for perseverance!

In addition to our four weeks of girls’ camp at our own facility, the Sisters also directed three away camps this summer in Washington State, Colorado, and Texas. Although the summer months are drawing to a close, they’re not over yet! Three more camps are scheduled for September and October in Indiana, Arkansas, and Louisiana. It’s always inspiring to witness the joy these simple programs bring to Catholic girls across the country—and to see the Morning Star Camp spirit continue to spread!

Today we marked the 50th Anniversary of our monastery, St. Benedict Center! What a blessing to be able to celebrate this beautiful feast and major milestone by witnessing the Final Profession of Sister Mary Anne, MICM, and by renewing our Vows as Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary! Join us in thanking God for the blessings of this day and of these fifty years! All for Jesus through Mary!
