Another Monday, another great Leadership Lunch! 🍽️ This week, our Fellows visited Home of the Innocents to enjoy lunch, hear from team members about their work, and get an inside look at the facility and its exciting new expansion! We’re grateful for the chance to learn from an organization making such a meaningful impact on children, adults, and families across Louisville and to see firsthand the heart behind their mission. ✨ We also loved seeing their community garden where kids get to learn how to cultivate 🏡👨‍🌾

We gathered Monday evening for a leadership dinner and training with Rip Tilden to explore what makes a great leader. Together, we reflected on the leaders who have shaped us, discussing the ways we've seen leadership done well and the ways we've seen it fall short.

Our biggest takeaway was that you don't have to hold a leadership title to be a leader! Leadership is about how we show up, serve others, and influence the people around us.

We are grateful for opportunities like these to learn from experienced leaders, challenge our perspectives, and grow into the leaders our communities need.

Meet Carleigh, our marketing fellow! ✨ Carleigh is a graduate from College of the Ozarks and is spending her year with The Parklands doing marketing. This year, she’ll be serving at the Ronald McDonald House while growing in her faith, work, and relationships throughout the Louisville community. When she’s not busy with the Fellows, you can probably find her line dancing, at a country concert, or grabbing Taco Bell or 7 Brew! 🤠 We’re so excited to have Carleigh as part of our 2026–27 Fellows class! ❤️

Another Leadership Lunch in the books! 🥙🥗 Today we had the opportunity to meet with Justin Leighty of Baptist Health, who shared about his work managing fundraising efforts across Central Kentucky and what it looks like to lead in the healthcare community. We're grateful for the chance to learn from leaders who are investing in our city and to hear more about their experiences along the way!

Meet Ellie, our marketing and communications fellow! 👋 Ellie is a recent Asbury University graduate who will be developing some new marketing skills working with Rev-a-Shelf this year. She is also excited to serve with Refuge International, building relationships with immigrants in the Louisville community while helping them develop their English skills. Alongside her joy of intercultural friendships🌎, she also loves ballet 🩰 and all things food! 🍝 Ellie is looking forward to spending a year in Louisville learning from the people around her. We're so glad to have Ellie as a part of the 2026-27 Fellows Class!

This weekend we got to help with this year's 24th Annual Mission Driven Car Show. It was hosted at St. Francis on Saturday and all of the proceeds go directly to fund local mission work through the church. This year's Fellows class and 2 Alumni got to help at the food booth! Here are some of the organizations that this event was fundraising giving for:

- Habitat for Humanity
- Military and Veterans Ministry (veterans experiencing homelessness)
- Anglican Communion (promoting church union)
- Aunt Mary's Storybook
- Kentucky Refugee Ministries
- Loaves & Fishes

As we got to check out cool cars we got to drive in our first ever cybertruck!
