Louisville Fellows class of 2026 has graduated! From host families to employers, professional mentors, spiritual mentors, non-profit staff, board members, committee members, teachers, Leadership Lunch speakers, Roundtable hosts, church leaders, donors, and family and friends from all over the world- the show of support for this class was humbling. Thank you to teacher Cai Matthews for sharing an encouraging message for our Fellows, and thank you to all of you who invest on our Fellows in so many ways! We are grateful (just check out our “gratitude poster” to see the proof! 😊).

Closing retreat: we finished where we started at the horse farm of some church members. It was a wonderful time of reflecting on the year together and offering each other encouragement. Also had a super fun time on the Ohio with some other church members on their boat, and we ended with steak dinner at the Wilson’s place… Bonus was all the fellows getting to hold the newest addition to the Wilson family, Leo.

“Since my last blog post, I have stepped into a new role as the Assistant Athletic Director at Louisville Collegiate School. This transition has been both exciting and deeply affirming. For the first time in a while, I wake up with a sense of anticipation rather than frustration. Day 10: our last day in England! We had a free day, during which Jordan visited Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Laura visited Big Ben & Westminster, Coltrane visited a few museums, and Zach and Theresa watched the changing of the guard and visited Westminster as well.

Day 9: Today we traveled to Oxford for the day, and we had the privilege of meeting with Bishop Graham Tomlin and spending some time at Pusey House in their chapel and with some students who practice regular rhythms of prayer & study together. We also got to celebrate our very own Faith’s birthday!!

Day 8: What a privilege it was today to spend time at the Anglican Communion Office with a delightful group of people, learning more about the vital role they play in the global communion. From Secretary General Bishop Anthony Poggo to Bishop Jo Bailey Wells to Dr. Christopher Wells and so many more… we are grateful for the time spent with us! After lunch we met with David Walker from the London Institute for Contemporary Christianity, an incredible organization here in the UK that works with churches and individuals to help them understand their role as Christians in the workplace and beyond. We then celebrated our very own Coltrane‘s birthday! Thank you for your prayers for us… Our pilgrimage has been amazing thus far!

Day 7: Today we rode bikes to Royal Albert Hall for the second half of the Alpha conference. It was an incredible day of worship and hearing from a diverse group of leaders, including Louise Perry, Cardinal Tagle, the Ezra Collective, and the Prime Minister of Latvia! In between sessions, we enjoyed some delicious Indian food. Our last session this evening ended with worship and prayer with this beautiful body of Christians from all over the world!

Day 6: Alpha Conference Part 1 A powerful day worshiping with 5,000 Christians from all corners of the earth and representing the diversity of the body of Christ. Highlights included worship in multiple languages, hearing from phenomenal speakers, and being with brothers and sisters in Christ from Germany, Hong Kong, Finland, Australia… just in the seats right around us!

Day 5: last night at Dr. Christopher Wells’ home we had the privilege of getting to know an intern to the Anglican Communion Office, Malachi, and then we got to hang out with him more today! This morning we attended Saint Matthews Bayswater, which is the Wells‘ home church. It was such an encouragement to be there! We then had traditional Sunday roast, and this evening we watched Jordan‘s favorite football club win! A good day all around.

Day 4: today we did a walking tour of London. We walked from the Anglican Communion Office, where we are staying, to Kensington Park, Hyde Park, The Green, Buckingham Palace, St. James Park, Trafalgar Square, and then to the British museum. We then walked to Dr. Christopher and Laura Wells‘s home, where we ate a delicious meal after spending some time outside in their neighborhood garden. It was a beautiful day ending with incredible fellowship. *Bonus for the day was that we saw the new Banksy art installation!
