It's early Friday morning. The disciples watch in horror as their friend has been arrested, mocked, beaten, and sentenced to death. They are fearful and hopeless. The Bible says that the disciples abandoned Jesus on this day, and some even denied that they even knew Him. The risk of persecution, being arrested, or possibly executed was much too great to admit to being His follower. But just a couple days later, something amazing happened. Just as He predicted, Jesus defeated the grave and rose back to life. No longer were the disciples afraid, but now they were confident and bold in their faith. Every one of the disciples would now willingly give their lives for the cause of Christ, without hesitation and without flinching. What changed? The resurrection on Sunday morning gave the disciples a new heart. A life-changing heart. A heart that seeks to live for Christ no matter the consequences. I pray that you, too, would receive a new heart as we celebrate this Easter weekend.

Photo of the day - The Church Without Sound Doctrine

I created this image because my heart breaks for all the churches out there not holding to sound doctrine. It's like a building without a solid foundation, and its very dangerous.

He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it. (Titus 1:9)
