This Saturday, December 4th, is our next Bible study night. We are making this a family fellowship event. Youth and their families are invited to join us at our house to watch the SEC Championship game with a short devotion and prayer at half-time. Kick-off is at 4:00pm. We are asking everyone to bring their favorite football game food to share. Weather permitting, we will also have a fire and s'mores. Please let us know if you can come!

For our next Bible study on Saturday, 11/20...

"And this is how we know [daily, by experience] that we have come to know Him [to understand Him and be more deeply acquainted with Him]: if we habitually keep [focused on His precepts and obey] His commandments (teachings). Whoever says, “I have come to know Him,” but does not habitually keep [focused on His precepts and obey] His commandments (teachings), is a liar, and the truth [of the divine word] is not in him. But whoever habitually keeps His word and obeys His precepts [and treasures His message in its entirety], in him the love of God has truly been perfected [it is completed and has reached maturity]. By this we know [for certain] that we are in Him: whoever says he lives in Christ [that is, whoever says he has accepted Him as God and Savior] ought [as a moral obligation] to walk and conduct himself just as He walked and conducted Himself." - 1 John 2:3-‬6 AMP

Youth Bible Study this Saturday, 11/6, from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at our house. Weather permitting, we'll have worship around the fire pit. Regardless of the weather, we'll dig into His word and praise Him. Come join us!

Time slipped away from me and I forgot to post about this coming weekend. Saturday, October 30, is the 5th Saturday of the month. As such, it is a Family Fellowship weekend for our Bible study. This weekend, we will come together to watch the UGA/Florida game and have a halftime prayer/devotion. Kickoff is 3:30. Nora and I will have the grill fired up almost all day. We ask every family to bring a side or tailgate type food. Let us know if you're coming and how many people you're bringing!

Saturday, 10/16, is our 2nd Bible Study of October. We will dive back into Psalms 91. Looking forward to seeing you guys at our place at 5:00. Two weeks is too long!

Our next Bible study (October 2nd) will be a family fellowship night. The good Lord willing, we will share a devotion, have prayer, watch football (Arkansas v. UGA), play games, and maybe sit around a fire (depends on weather). We'll settle on a time as we get closer to the date. This event is for the whole family and a chance for teens to invite friends to a less "formal" atmosphere. Asking everyone to bring a food item large enough for their family + 2 other people.

09/02/2021

Don't forget. This Saturday is the first Saturday in September. That means it's Bible Study weekend! We'll start at 5:00 as normal. It's also the opening weekend of college football. Therefore, food items will be tailgating type foods. Parents, you are MORE than welcome to come and stay for the UGA/Clemson game at 7:00.

08/07/2021

Today is the Family Fellowship game night at our house. To make it simple, we figure to have a tailgate party type theme. Everyone is asked to bring something for their family with enough to share. At the moment we have smoked chicken wings, buffalo chicken dip, sausage dip, and a cucumber/tomato salad. Please comment with what you are bringing (hello, desserts?!?). In addition to food, Nora Hughes Johnson and I will provide cups, plates, forks, and sweet tea. Can someone bring some other drinks?

Don't forget to bring your favorite game!
