Time for some productive procrastination... 😬 (And YOU get to help!)

First, if you are wondering how one could "productively procrastinate" let me give you a glimpse into the inner workings of my brain 🤪

When I am completely overwhelmed by a HUGE project in front of me, like for instance, editing a 1st draft that I know needs a few more pieces that I have no idea where they are going to fit (I'm fine... everything is fine..) I allow myself to take a step back to breathe so long as while I am breathing I am tackling another (less intimidating) project, like being creative making book cover mockups.

What I need to know from you if you have made it this far is:

1) which of these books would you pick up?

2)Which do you think would be most appealing to both men and women?

3)Are there minor changes you would make to your favorite? (Font, color, word placement...)

4)Do I need to go back to the drawing board completely?

As I flipped open my laptop this morning to reveal the verse of the day my heart was delighted to find one of my life verses.

I have collected a short list of verses over the years that have stood out with greater significance by highlighting some of the more personal aspects to my relationship with the Lord.

For me Jeremiah 29:13 is one of those verses.

With an unquestionable assurance it tells me that my time is never wasted when seeking the Lord. I can know that I will never walk away from a time of searching Him out without accomplishing the desired outcome.

When I seek the Lord, He is not hiding Himself from me, but instead He is eagerly awaiting for me to come, making an offering of my time with intention to meet with Him.

Isn't He worthy!

I am doing some research for a project I am working on and I could use your help.

There are three image with questions about repentance. On each one I will give a little further clarification on what I am looking for from your answers. There are NO right or wrong answers as this is more about your personal connection to the subject matter. Please answer them as honestly as you can, I'm not really looking for textbook answers or how the dictionary would define things (you can DM me and have your answers be kept 100% anonymous.)

Answer as many or as few of the questions as you would like. I appreciate any input you are willing to give. Thank you in advance!

Recently, I have been hearing back from more and more people who have read (or are beginning to read) this book and it has been so encouraging to hear how the message has touched their lives.

It is my sincere hope that God will do mighty things in the lives of His children through the truth that I believe He imparted to me in these pages. I hope to continue to hear even more about the places of victory and freedom people begin walking in as God uses this book as a tool to begin speaking to their hearts about His love for them.

Shame has no power where the blood of Jesus has been applied! God wan't you free and I do too.

As believers in Christ we intentionally live from a position of good (good motives, good behavior, good communication, "the good life") because evil cannot conquer what is truly good (by God's standards), but good can and does conquer evil.

Are you living from the position of being a conqueror in Christ? Or are you going around constantly feeling as if you have been conquered by life?

If you answered yes to the first question, then you are right where you need to be. Living from this space carries the natural blessing of the Lord, but it must be carried out daily and intentionally. Keep on doing what you are doing. Rely on the Lord and lean into His leadership.

If your yes was found in the second question, it's an easy fix. Yes, it will still need to be done with intentionality, but it is a safe and welcoming space that comes with a great level of benefit. The invitation to live this life is open to everyone. That is one of the greatest things about Christianity.

If you are already a believer in the Lord and just need to take that next step of following His guidance: He is ready. He is already there with you in each moment. He is simply waiting for you to activate your faith to follow Him.

Maybe you have lived on course with the Lord before, but somewhere along the way you took a side step or two: He is still there. He hasn't cast you aside. He is still waiting, long-suffering and always wants you to return to Him.

If this is the first time that you have ever heard that God is open to relationship with you, (and maybe it is sounding a little too good to be true): He is waiting for you to realize that He has always wanted you. He created you to be his child, and He did so with good plans for you. He looks forward to rejoicing over you joining His Kingdom family.

Conflict is defined as "a difference in opinion or purpose that frustrates someone's goals or desires." -Ken Sande, author of 'The Peacemaker', who also tells us "Every Epistle in the New Testament contains a command to live at peace with one another."

Peace (God's perfect peace) is the goal. We all want it in our innermost being, but it is not always the natural course we find ourselves drawn to. This is especially due to our current residence in this life that has been corrupted by sin. So for those of us who hope to live with its benefits WE MUST PURSUE IT.

Like a hidden treasure, we must seek it out. Not lackadasically, we must chase after it with intent to capture it, remembering the why and what we are running after.

We must not allow ourselves to get deterred when things aren't going "just right" or when we meet resistance. When peace making is not the most convenient choice we must still choose to make peace anyway. Resigning ourselves not to follow the broader easier path that leads ultimately to destruction.

This is what it means to be a PEACEMAKER which my pastor's wife has wisely pointed out is not the same as being a "peace keeper". Peace keepers are pursuing a counterfeit of God's perfect peace. They are pursuing "quiet at all costs", instead of peace that is kept in line by God's standard of right and wrong, but instead is bullied into a life of compromise in order to not incur the wrath of another.

Seek and pursue peace.

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons [and daughters] of God." Matthew 5:9
