To our beloved friends:
We moved to Hamilton with a call from God to plant a church, and we found so much more than that—we found a family. Our tight knit house church blossomed into a beautiful community where lives were transformed by the power of Jesus Christ.
We have felt the call from God to enter into a new season, one that we feel will bring peace, rest, and refreshing. As of this week, River House will be closing our doors as a church.
This is not a statement of defeat, we actually feel the opposite. This is ending on a high note. We are thankful for the encounters God has led us into, the community He built, the miracles He demonstrated, and the transformation that occurred in our hearts. As we close this season out, we do so in thanksgiving, knowing God has done great things. The best part of our community is the relationships, and we will carry those into every season of life, regardless of churches, names, or geography.
WHAT’S NEXT:
We encourage anyone who has called River House home over the last few years to join us on the launch team of .church , a new church led by dear friends and leaders Nathan and Rachel Derenski, coming to Liberty Township, OH in September.
Though our time as a church is coming to a close, we are still the “church” of Jesus Christ, namely the body of Christ and the family of God. If you need prayer, friendship, encouragement, or anything else, please reach out to us -
