Lord's Pantry at Trinity UMC Lord’s Pantry is a food distribution ministry that provides food and services to our community. It is here for you in your time of need.

To donate (please specify “Lord’s Pantry”):
Venmo:
Online: https://secure.myvanco.com/L-ZEMY/home The pantry is located in the “Barn” – adjacent to our main parking lot. The Lord’s Pantry is committed to providing nutritious food to residents of the Hackettstown area as a supplement to their regular food shopping. All food is generously donated by members of Trinity United

Methodist Church and many other residents/organizations/ businesses of the community. Recipients are allowed to select what they want using a shopping guide based on the number of people in their household. (All people living at one address are considered one family.) This method allows freedom of choice and eliminates waste. The Pantry’s intention is to provide families with basic nutritious food. Dessert items, snacks, coffee, etc. will be available only when donations are received. In addition to our regular food program, the Lord’s Pantry offers a supplemental USDA program to those who qualify: WIC, Medicaid, Food Stamp Program, and Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, Supplement Security Income (SSI) or Low Income per current state guidelines. Anyone who has a least one of these qualifiers can receive USDA food, regardless of where they reside. In an emergency, contact the Trinity Church office at 908-852-3020.

Dear Open Cupboard friends, family, and neighbors,

At last, we are able to share some BIG news with you. In late March, we will be moving right here within the same shopping center into a new pantry space designed to better serve our neighbors with greater privacy, care, and compassion. This move allows us to create an experience that feels more welcoming and respectful from the moment someone walks through our doors.

Before we can open those doors, we must prepare the space with necessary electrical upgrades for our refrigerators and freezers, construction improvements, and the costs associated with the move. To make this possible, we have set a goal of raising $15,000.

https://www.opencupboardfoodpantry.org/how-to-donate/

This is not simply a relocation. It is a community choosing dignity. It is neighbors standing beside neighbors. It is a shared belief that when someone asks for help, they should be met with compassion and respect.

This next chapter will be written by the people who believe in this mission. If you have ever supported Open Cupboard, volunteered your time, made a donation, or believed in taking care of our own, this is your moment to be part of something meaningful.

Help us reach $15,000. Donate. Share. Stand with us as we open the doors together.

Thank you, Hackettstown Elks Lodge 2331, for your donation and continued support of the Lord’s Pantry! We appreciate you...

Our shelves and freezers are FULL, because of YOU! We cannot thank you enough for your generosity, especially over the past year. Product donations help us provide variety, while monetary donations help us sustain full shelves.
Remember, for every dollar you donate, we can purchase roughly 5 pounds of food! It doesn’t take much to make a difference.

If you, your family, your team, your business or your organization would like to conduct a fund drive please message us, or email our director: [email protected]

Together, we can help our neighbors and win the fight against food insecurity! 💪

This is a great tool to learn about food security challenges in your own county. We’ve worked with the teams behind this program and the data they’ve compiled is amazing.

📣 Now Available: County Data Chartbooks on Food Security

Food security exists when all people, at all times, have access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food that meets their needs and food preferences for an active life. This understanding includes the six dimensions of food security: availability, access, utilization, stability, agency, and sustainability.

To support a shared understanding of how these dimensions show up locally, we’re releasing county-level data chartbooks drawn from The State of Food Security in New Jersey: A Data Chart Book.

Each county chartbook offers a concise, visual snapshot of key food security-related metrics, highlighting selected determinants, measures, and impacts of food insecurity across New Jersey’s counties.

By organizing information at the county level, these chartbooks make it easier to apply the data locally — supporting community partners, local organizers, and policymakers as they plan, prioritize, and strengthen food security responses based on conditions in their own communities.
