Praying for my School

Jesus told us to go and pray. Volumes have been written about prayer, but all of it can be distilled into one simple principle: the prayer that happens in the secret place is meant to be a heart-to-heart encounter between you and your Abba Father and not an intellectual exercise.
The secret place is where you bare your heart before God and pour every ounce of it at His feet ─ whether it be sorrow, gladness, thanksgiving, intercession, or all of it mixed together. In turn, God draws near and shelters you with His presence in the secret place.

Phillips Brooks once said, “Prayer is not conquering God’s reluctance but taking hold of God’s willingness.”
So here’s the good news: we are never rejected and always welcomed by our gracious and loving God. Our Father is a giving God. He wants to answer your prayers that are aligned with His will and according to His purposes.

In prayer, we have a conversation with God about what we need, what others need physically and spiritually; we thank Him and then we wait. We listen. We obey. In this, we EXPERIENCE His peace that will set a guard around our hearts and minds. His voice and the power of His presence make us secure both inwardly and outwardly.
