Shady Grove Church is excited to host a Life Line Screening event right here at our facility (3507 FM 499) on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

The Life Line Screening team will arrive around 8:15 AM, with the first appointments beginning at 9:00 AM and the last screenings wrapping up around 5:30 PM. This is a great opportunity for preventive health screenings that can help detect potential issues early.

Who should attend?

This event is open to the community. If you or someone you know is interested in health screenings, please mark your calendar and plan to participate!

Life Line Screening will also be promoting the event in the community, and we look forward to a successful day of service together.

Hearing God starts with a pure and undivided heart. We open Matthew 5:6 and ask a simple but searching question: How do we actually hear God? Many of us want His voice, yet we struggle to recognize it. The answer is not more information or better methods—it is a pure heart.

We look at the hard heart that develops through murmuring, unbelief, and disobedience, the same pattern that kept Israel wandering in the wilderness. Then we turn to what is required for a hearing ear: making the voice of God vital to us, and exercising that ear through frequency, intensity, and time. There is no substitute—books, conferences, podcasts, or counseling cannot replace direct communion with the Lord.

Join us for a special women's event this Saturday, July 11 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm!

Every Christian woman likely knows the story of Mary and Martha and may have heard a sermon or two suggesting we become more like a Mary and less like a Martha. However, both women encountered depression, misery, and loss that challenged their faith in unique ways. A closer look at how Jesus ministered to each sister gives us practical ways in which we can move from worry to worship whether we tend to be a Mary or a Martha.

Our guest speaker, Jennifer McDaniel, is married to John McDaniel, Pastor of Music and Worship Arts at Highland Terrace Baptist Church. As a Certified Child Life Specialist and Pastor’s wife, her focus is helping families build Biblical foundations of faith to develop hope, purpose, and resiliency in Jesus for enduring and worshipping through life’s challenges.

Kids will journey through Ireland's lush landscapes, explore the life of David, and discover the powerful truth of Psalm 23, that there is a God who truly cares for them, providing hope in a fearful world. It's a fun, faith-building experience with Bible lessons, games, crafts, science experiments, music, snacks, and more, all centered on God's Word and the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ.

◾ Saturday: Work Day and Breakfast at is at 8:00 am. All those who can are welcome to come serve the church. This is a time to join together in pray, eat a wonderful breakfast, and support the church.
