A tragic story out of Uganda is gaining attention—and it’s important to get the facts right.
Evangelist Alfred Kitenga was killed on April 9, 2026, after preaching at a gospel outreach event in Kampala.
According to reports, he and his wife were approached by men who claimed to be Christians and offered them a ride home.
During the trip, more men joined them.
Then the situation turned violent.
Kitenga was beaten and fatally stabbed.
His wife survived and later told authorities what happened.
Some reports say the attackers may have been Muslim extremists, but as of now, no suspects have been arrested and no official motive has been confirmed.
What we do know is this:
A man lost his life after preaching the gospel.
That alone should give us pause.
In parts of the world, sharing your faith isn’t just uncomfortable.
It can cost you everything.
Pray for his family.
Pray for those in regions where faith comes with real risk.
And don’t take for granted the freedom many of us have.
