Catholic Scouting Family Celebration & Convocation Mass

INVITATION

The Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting invites all Catholic Scouts and their units and families to a celebration of Catholic Scouting. The annual Scout Convocation Mass will be celebrated at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 28 by Bishop Larry J. Kulick at St. John the Evangelist Church in Latrobe.
Bishop Kulick is an Eagle Scout and served as a Chaplain at Camp Conestoga when in seminary formation. He is very supportive of Scouting and particularly our Catholic Chartered Scout units. Bishop Kulick sees great benefit in the religious emblem programs and additional offerings made available to Catholic scouts and families through the diocesan and national committees. Information about these programs for both Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA will be available.
It is important that all Catholic chartered units be represented at the Convocation. Units are welcome and encouraged to bring their unit flags for display. All scouts and families are invited regardless of affiliation. A cookie social will follow.
