Moment of transparency: I know I don't go live weekly. I don't make a lot of videos, in general... but I do a lot of research. I've posted a tiny portion of it on the Greek New Testament, SRJ translation, my personal LinkedIn profile, and other sites.
In short, I'm less of a preacher, more of a Kingdom-minded Bible teacher. I have sermons [and sermon series] prepared for presentation that I could do as a service or maybe a conference during the summer or a weekend.
I've thought about doing these for years, but I've hesitated with this for a long time, because I don't want anyone to say I'm tryna pimp the Gospel. I know my motive better than that! I know I only wanna expand His Kingdom!...and, even if it does grant me financial prosperity, I know my heart for Christ and His Kingdom won't change! Anyone who knows me, even on a surface level, ought to know that, too!.. I've dragged my heels on this, to my own detriment... because so many people in the past have said stupid things like, "He just wanna be the next TD Jakes."
Or they act like my style of studying and translating isn't from God because it isn't an extemporaneous prophetic utterance. Shortsighted as that thought process is, we must understand that each ministry has its own style, connections, and whatever else!
I know and understand that I can only be Pastor Shane. I said all that to say that I have several series on:
Kingdom Alignment
Fruit of the Spirit
The Church that Advances His Kingdom

Pray about it: ask the Lord if He wants me to present to your congregation or conference. If He gives you the go-ahead, then reach out to me [email protected] and we can talk scheduling and costs logistics, such as:
Is it a one time speaking engagement?
Do you need me to stay for a weekend or week long revival?

God bless you!

A new study from the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs and Corisk—a respected economics consultancy—did the math Europe's politicians haven't.

Europe currently gives Ukraine about €40 billion a year. To equip Ukraine for victory, that needs to jump fivefold—to €200 billion annually.

Sounds impossible. But here's what "saving money" actually costs: if Russia wins, Europe faces 6-11 million additional Ukrainian refugees and a €256 billion emergency rearmament scramble to defend the Baltics. Total bill? Double what arming Ukraine would cost.

And that €200 billion? It's less than 1% of Europe's GDP. NATO countries already pledged 3.5% for defense. Europe spent more on COVID and bailing out Greece.

The frozen Russian central bank assets sitting in Europe? €300 billion. The math isn't complicated. The political will is the problem.

The popular image of Jesus being born in a barn or stable does not fit what the Gospel of Luke actually says or what we know about first-century Jewish homes.

The key issue is the Greek word kataluma (κατάλυμα) in Luke 2:7: “there was no room for them in the inn.” But was it an “inn”?

First, it is very unlikely that a tiny village like Bethlehem would have had the ancient equivalent of a Hilton or even a Motel 6.

Second, and more importantly, when Luke described an inn, he used a different word, pandocheion (πανδοχεῖον), as in the parable of the Good Samaritan: the wounded man “was taken to an inn [pandocheion] and cared for there” (Luke 10:34).

Does Luke use the word kataluma elsewhere? Yes, in Luke 22:11, where Jesus says, “Where is the guest room [kataluma] where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?” Clearly this refers to a private guest room or upper room, not a public lodging place.

Within the context of Luke’s Gospel, therefore, the kataluma is a “guest room” in Bethlehem and a “guest room” in Jerusalem.

Archaeology and ancient Near Eastern studies show that typical Judean village homes had one main family room and a small lower area where animals were brought in at night for warmth and safety. A manger, or feeding trough, was often built into the floor or wall of this room. Many houses also had a small, separate guest room—the kataluma—sometimes on the roof or attached to the side.

When Luke says there was no room for them in the kataluma, it means that the guest room of the family home was already full, likely crowded with relatives who had arrived earlier for the census (Luke 2:3–4).

Because of the strong culture of hospitality, it is nearly unthinkable that Joseph and Mary would have been left outside. Instead, they were welcomed into the main living space of a home, where Mary gave birth and laid the child Jesus in the household manger.

Jesus was not born in a barn but in the main room of a crowded home in Bethlehem, surrounded by family.

Romans 4:16

Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may rest on grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring-not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.
