A few weeks ago we were delighted to have nursing students here from Davenport University to share the importance of caring for one's mental health. They did a phenomenal job connecting with our guests! ❤️

Today we say goodbye to Gavin, a treasured clinic volunteer (also a licensed EMT) who has faithfully served here in our Community Partners Medical Clinic for almost two years. Gavin, thank you for your service, and we wish you all the best as you journey on toward medical school.

This is what it's all about. Our nurses are dedicated to showing love and compassion with the belief we are all created in God's image and every life holds value. And nurse Alice is in her 12th year at Mel Trotter Ministries!

Today, Luke our good friend at Region 6 Healthcare Coalition delivered four large boxes of surgical masks donated by the Kent County Health Department We had burned through our inventory at the mission in response to a recent uptick of seasonal viruses and had reached out to Region 6 for help. They put out the call and KCHD responded to the need! Thank you, partners!

We need you! Please consider donating a winter coat this year! Gently used and new coats would be greatly appreciated by the individuals we serve.

As the chilly weather approaches, we are reaching out for your support. Each Thanksgiving Day, we host a coat giveaway to ensure our guests stay warm through the winter. We are in urgent need of men's winter coats of all sizes.

If you have gently used or new winter coats you can spare, please consider donating them. Drop-offs can be made at the Mission located at 225 Commerce Ave SW. Your generosity can make a huge difference in someone's life this season.
