Yesterday was different. It was a heart check.

We’re in our series It’s Grow Time — and this week we hit Sermon #4: Growing in Love.

Core texts:
• 1 Corinthians 13 / John 13 & 21 / Romans 12 / 1 John 4 / Galatians 5 / Matthew 28

⚠️ 1 Cor 13:

Love is patient.
Love is kind.
It’s not jealous.
It doesn’t brag. It’s not fake.
It’s not arrogant or trying to be the main character.
It don’t embarrass people.
It’s not self absorbed.
It doesn’t get triggered easily.
It doesn’t keep a running tab of everything you did wrong. Like fr, It don’t keep receipts or bring up old stuff.

Love isn’t into drama or shady stuff. It celebrates what’s true and good every time.

Love shows up. Love covers you.
It believes the best.
It stays hopeful.
It doesn’t give up.
Love never fails. It doesn’t expire. It doesn’t quit.

So yeah… And at the end of the day? … faith, hope, and love are still the big 3.

But love?
Love is undefeated. ❤️

-
And family… here’s the bottom line:

👉🏽 Growth without love isn’t growth.
It’s just information with ego.

🌱 Quick Recap of Where We’ve Been..

We’ve been responding to God’s invitation to grow in 2026:

1• Grow in the knowledge of God
3• Grow in grace
3• Grow in gratitude and understanding of salvation
4• Now… grow in LOVE

We learned:
• Salvation is finished — but growth is continual.
• Gratitude anchors you.
• Grace expands you.
• Knowledge roots you.

But love?

Love is the fruit. 🍎
Love is the evidence.
Love is the receipt.

❤️ Love Is The Mark of Maturity

1 John 4 says if we love, we know God.

Not if we preach good.
Not if we sing loud.
Not if we got theology on lock.

If we LOVE.

Because knowledge without love = pride.
Grace without love = entitlement.
Gratitude without love = self-focus.

Love is the measure.

🧼 Jesus Washed Feet (Not Just Sang Songs)

In John 13, Jesus washed the disciples’ feet.

Real love lowers itself.
Real love serves.
Real love doesn’t need applause.

Love is not passive.
Love is not vibes.
Love is action.

• If it’s broken — God can fix it.
• If it’s empty — God can fill it.
• If it fell — God can lift it.
• If it died — God can resurrect it.

Love moves. Love acts. Love restores.

💛 What Love Actually Looks Like

1 Corinthians 13 broke it down:

• Patient
• Kind
• Not jealous
• Not arrogant
• Not self-seeking
• Not easily triggered
• Doesn’t keep receipts 👀
• Protects, trusts, hopes, perseveres

Love is disciplined.
Love is intentional.
Love is grown-folk faith.

🐟 “Do You Love Me More Than This?”

After Jesus died and resurrected.. PETER went back to what was FAMILIAR.

His whole identity was wrapped around fishing.

So.. In John 21, Peter goes back to fishing. They catch 153 fish — record-breaking provision.

And Jesus asks him three times, representing the 3 times he failed, when denying Jesus in the night he was about to die.

So now he asked:

“Do you love Me?”

There are many ways to look at this verse, that happens right there when catching the 153 fish..

I truly believe Jesus was pointing at that pile of fish and asking:

Peter… do you love Me more than this?

More than your identity?
More than your success and dreams?
More than the harvest?
More than ministry?
More than the bag? 💰
More than the platform?

Because sometimes we love what He gives more than who He is.

And I felt the Lord asking us:

❓Do you love Me… or just what I do for you?

❓You sing about Me… but do you talk to Me?

❓You serve Me… but do you sit with Me?

Let’s fall in love with Jesus again. For real. Not churchy. Not performative. Real.

🌍 Growing in Love for the Lost

Matthew 28 reminds us — love multiplies.

When we love God deeply, we love people boldly.

You can’t say you love Jesus and ignore His sheep.

Love feeds.
Love disciples.
Love reaches.
Love moves toward the broken.

🔥 Signs You’re Actually Growing

• You forgive quicker.
• You serve without being asked.
• You celebrate others without envy.
• You speak life instead of criticism.
• You persevere through conflict with grace.

That’s maturity. Not perfection. Growth.

🚫 What Love Is NOT

• Not tolerance of sin.
• Not weakness.
• Not conditional.
• Not self-centered.

Biblical love strengthens, restores, builds, and protects.

🗣 What We Declared

We said it out loud:

• I am growing in love.
• I forgive quickly and freely.
• I serve without expectation.
• I honor others above myself.
• My love is patient, kind, and steadfast.
• This is my grow time.

And I meant that for us.

Family… this isn’t maintenance mode.
This isn’t survival season.

This is grow time. 🌱🔥

We’re not just becoming smarter believers.
We’re becoming deeper lovers of God, stronger lovers of each other, and bold lovers of the lost.

Let’s grow.
For real.

On this Valentine’s Day…

Singles:
Lowkey? This season is a flex. You’re not behind..: you’re being BUILT.
This is your era to lock in with God. No distractions. No half-love. No “maybe it’ll work.”
And please don’t entertain someone Heaven didn’t send. If it’s not from God, it’s a no. Period. You’re not desperate..you’re set apart.

Married people:
That’s your teammate for life. Love them LOUD. Passionate. Intentional.
Be soft with each other. Be generous. Be affectionate when it’s inconvenient. Other than Jesus, that’s your #1 — protect it. Invest in it. Pray together. Dream big together. Laugh a lot. Stay spicy. Don’t get boring. Keep choosing each other on purpose, even on the random Tuesdays.

You are deeply loved. Not tolerated, chosen.
You’re not random. Jesus pursued you on purpose.

So let’s love in a way that actually reflects the price He paid.
No halfway love. No casual covenant. We do this different. 💘🔥

What if you were given two full years—no childcare costs, no housing payments—just space to get back on your feet, focus on God, and your purpose?

DALLAS METRO RESIDENTS

It’s a 68-acre campus called The Gatehouse in Grapevine, Texas, and I’ve never seen a model like this before.

This program is designed for single women or single mothers (up to three children) who are serious about rebuilding their lives. You can stay for up to two years, and during that time they provide housing, free childcare/daycare, counseling, financial coaching, and structured support. You must be a Dallas metroplex resident, be a permanent resident of the US, have a working vehicle.

There are three tracks:
Career
Education (bachelor’s or master’s)
Vocation (trade school or STEM)

The goal isn’t temporary help—it’s long-term self-sufficiency. Women in the Career Track, for example, are required to secure full-time employment within 45 days. You’re assigned a counselor and a financial coach to help you stay on track.

This program is especially powerful for women who may be coming out of a breakup, domestic violence situation, homelessness, or financial crisis and need stability while they reset their lives.

Now, let me be clear—there is structure.
There’s a curfew (10 PM on weekdays, midnight on weekends), and Bible study is provided. This isn’t a place to drift. It’s for women who are ready to commit to growth.

And the campus? Beautiful. Peaceful. Intentional.
If you’re in the DFW Metroplex—or you know a woman who truly needs this kind of support—I encourage you to reach out to The Gatehouse and explore the program.

OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION

We’ve decided not to do our annual New Orleans Mardi Gras outreach in 2026 🎭❌ and instead put more focus on local outreaches here in the Dallas area 🌟🏡

We’ve done Mardi Gras for the past six years, but we feel this is the best focus for our campus right now 🙌💖

Dallas, let’s go for the Harvest‼️
