A Blessed and Happy Christmas to all!

Mid-week greetings to you all. As I prepare for Sunday's message (Acts 14:1-7), I am struck with just how many questions stem from this text: Because Paul and Barnabas are persecuted so severely, why did they keep preaching the Gospel? Why do some people rail against the Gospel as they do? We'll explore those questions and others as we sit at the Lord's feet (metaphorically) this week Sunday at 10:00am. Bring your own questions and join us as we worship The One Who has all the answers.

Jealousy or joyfulness, that's the outcome we'll consider this week Sunday as we examine the historical record concerning Paul's first recorded sermon (Acts 13:42-52). There were some who received his preaching with great joy - it is after all the "good news"! There were others however, who railed in jealousy. The Gospel has a way of doing that doesn't it; calling people to respond one way or the other. Join us Sunday as we look closely at the reactions of some of the citizens of Pisidian Antioch to Paul's message from God; Jesus is Lord and all who believe are forgiven and freed!

am having a ball studying the text for this week coming Sunday; Acts 13:42-52. There is so much in this historical account of Paul and Barnabas as they have just preached to "Jews and God-fearing men" in the synagogue at Pisidian Antioch. The reception they received was nothing less than extraordinary! But a week will pass and on the next Sabbath day, things will look very different. It's funny what a week's time can do. The next time you read a GSPC "Blast" - a national election will have taken place. Be sure to vote, and vote your godly principles. And remember that it is our hope that Proposition 3 will be defeated (vote no to defeat it). Prayers and blessings to you and yours and we surely hope to see you this week Sunday as we celebrate Communion.

Mid-week blessings to you all. You're going to get two sermons this week Sunday; mine and Paul's! Matter of fact, Acts 13:13-41 is Paul's first recorded sermon and it's a doozy! We'll examine it up close on Sunday but the outline of his message is in four-parts: The history of God's relationship with His people. The fulfilment of God's promise to send His Messiah for His people. A two-part application concerning the Messiah. And instead of an "altar call" - a warning to receive the Messiah. Please join us as we share and cherish together a Word from God, He's got such a heart for you. Worshipping at 10:00am

Please continue to pray for:

• Marie as she heals up after her surgery on Monday
• Bill and Sandee as they await the results of medical tests
• Mary and Marilyn as they heal
• Our Home Members; Bob and Joan

Is this our "Indian summer"? Regardless, I hope you are enjoying the changing colors... I'm excited to be back with you this week Sunday and picking up in Acts 13:1-12. This is a powerful story about building up AND pulling down. I hope you choose to worship with us as our God is worthy and eager to be worshipped by all His children. See you at 10:00am

• You may want to Trick-or-Treat Bill and Sandee as they will be at the Kentwood Halloween party on Saturday between 10:00am and 1:00pm. Be sure to drop bye and take a picture and get your "treats!"
• Fellowship Feast (old fashioned pot luck) right after worship - please plan to stay as we will have plenty...

Please pray for:

• Marie and Roger as Marie's sister died and was buried on Friday.
• Bill and Sandee as Bill prepares for medical tests on Monday

Greetings to you all dear ones from Florida. Donna and I took a major detour last week as we decided instead of vacationing through Missouri and Arkansas, we'd go to Florida and join up with Samaritans Purse and help out with hurricane relief. They've sent us to Punta Gorda and we are helping out with the massive clean up effort.
We miss all of you but trust you were blessed last week as Carolyn filled our pulpit. I trust as well that you'll be blessed again this week Sunday as we welcome back our dear friend in the Lord Rev. Dr. Won Lee. Know that we are with you in spirit and look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Hello from hurricane ravaged Punta Gorda, Flordia. Donna and I were planning a back-road trip through Arkansas for months. But days before we left, Donna was prompted by the Lord to serve hurricane victims. And so Arkansas will have to wait; we drove to Punta Gorda, Florida to join a team of volunteers from Samaritians Purse.
We helped patch (tarp cover) roofs today and really just felt the love and power of the Lord.

This week Sunday our dear friend and sister in the faith will fill our pulpit; Rev. Carolyn Cammenga. Carolyn is a most remarkable person and God has used her tremendously not only as a pastor but as a missionary to Egypt, a teacher, a writer and an evangelist. Rev. Cammenga will be preaching from Philippians (1:1-6), a text she has recently written on and published; Jump For Joy, A Study in the Book of Philippians. Please join us at 10:00am as we worship the Lord Jesus together with the entire global Body of Christ.
