River Lake Kids

River Lake Kids is River Lake Church's children's ministry for children ages 3 through 5th grade. We also provide a nursery for birth through 2 years. We treasure each child that comes through our doors and into our hearts. We work hard to make this your child's favorite part of their week. We hope after only one visit that your child wants to come back to River Lake Kids. We also hope that not on

ly will your child want to come back, but love it enough they want to bring a friend! We have 5 important values that we pack into each Sunday in River Lake Kids!

1. Safety
• Every adult volunteer screened with a background check
• We use a child check-in system (child’s name tag matched to a guardian identification number)
• Our River Lake Kids area is monitored by security personnel during the duration of the service
• We have rules for children to help create a safe and respectful environment

2. Creative Bible Teaching
• We bring the Bible to life through videos, activities, and discussions that keep children engaged
• We present the Bible in a way children understand the value of applying it to their lives
• We teach the Bible so that kids “get it” rather than “endure it”

3. Age Appropriateness
• Our environment and lesson materials are presented in a way children of different ages understand
• Our small group discussion and activities are based on grades to keep it age appropriate

4. Relationships
• We focus on a relational ministry, not just informational….small groups matter
• Volunteers focus on individuals, not just groups
• Volunteers go above and beyond to make children feel loved and valued!

5. Fun
• We create fun ways for children to learn about Jesus on their level which includes games, activities, crafts, singing, and dancing
• We know kids won’t come back willingly if it’s not fun....so we are all about fun!!!
