Fun was had by all at our council’s 30th annual Knights of Columbus charity golf scramble! Even those that finished the day with higher score left with a prize and that’s all you can ask for when raising money for so many good causes. Over the 30 years, over $60,000 have been raised and donated back to various community members in need.

Spots go fast so mark your calendar for the first Sunday of May next year and join us!

A little late but wanted to express our gratitude to all 700+ people who came to our annual fish fry! The Knights is often referred to as the “right hand of the church” because of our fundraising programs for the parish and priests alike.

This year we created an opportunity for the community to directly support Father H with his medical costs and the response was overwhelming. Thanks to the volunteers who were there to the serve the masses!

Our council is proud to be home of a 2026 Free Throw state champion! JR Blyholder went 24/25 in the state finals to claim the award. He had to hurry off to baseball practice but he took time to show off the hardware from the backseat. Keep up the great work JR!

We are excited to share our Knight of the Year and Family of the Year award winners!
This years Knight of the Year went to Danny Stuhlsatz of the St. Mary’s parish.
Our Family of the Year was awarded to Dennis and Janet Meyer of St. Anthony’s.

Congratulations to our recipients for their hard work and dedication to serving the Knights and their communities. Your contributions have made our council better and for that we thank you!

Today on Presidents Day, let’s choose prayer.

We pray for our elected leaders, past and present, local and national, and for all who carry the weight of public service. Leadership affects families, communities, and futures. It requires wisdom, courage, and humility.

Scripture urges us to pray for those in authority (1 Timothy 2:1–2). So instead of division, let’s offer prayer. Instead of anger, let’s ask for unity rooted in truth and charity.

Lord, guide our leaders and bless our nation. 🙏

Monthly Knights business meeting tonight at 5:30 at St. Anthony parish hall. Food and drinks provided after!

Today some fine free throw shooters came to Garden Plain to earn a spot at the state competition. Thanks for the Knights who volunteered and the parents who took the time to take their kids to the competitions. Best of luck to those state finalists going to Salina in two weeks!

Happy Sunday! Next Sunday is the Regional Free Throw contest at GPHS. If there is any Knights available to help, we could use a few more to ensure everything goes smoothly. Volunteers can arrive around 11:45.
