Fresh Faith 24/7

Fresh Faith 24/7 Helping Christians find a path to freedom and joy in their walk with Christ. (Philippians 3:8) www.freshfaith247.com Shouldn’t we desire the same?

We echo what Paul said: "I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord." From the founder, Jon Edward Fugler:

Knowing Christ is the secret to LIFE. One of the greatest Christian leaders of all time, Apostle Paul, made it his life purpose after his conversion. He said, “Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Chr

ist Jesus my Lord." (Philippians 3:8 NIV)

As a result, he had the most intimate relationship with Jesus, the most powerful impact for Christ and the deepest relationships with others. Find it inside FRESH FAITH 24/7. We are alive, positive, biblical and encouraging. Explore more at www.freshfaith247.com.

On my back porch, I just spent some quiet moments with God as the sun rose and the birds began arriving, one of them making a big announcement to all. One of the most valuable habits we can develop is to spend quality time with God each day. For the past year I've been working on a book that addresses that, a guide to help us in this rich experience. The day is almost here for its release, May 1.

Some days we just need some good ol’ encouragement. That is what you’ll find on today’s audio devotional.

Some days we just need some good ol’ encouragement. That is what you’ll find on today’s audio devotional.

Today, we retreat into one of Paul's most inspiring statements -- and see how we can make it our own. Key Verse: "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for...

Daniel had a target on his back. He was challenged by a group of jealous cohorts for worshiping the God of Israel. These cunning colleagues wanted to trap Daniel, so they had a new law created stating that only the king could be worshiped.

Daniel courageously worshiped God no matter what the cost, boldly pushing back against the world. It nearly cost him his life. Let's explore more in today's audio devotional.

COURAGE... our theme this week as we start the Retreating with God podcast. We can learn a lot from Daniel: Daniel had a target on his back. He was challenged by a group of jealous cohorts for worshiping the God of Israel. These cunning colleagues wanted to trap Daniel, so they had a new law...

What would it look like if you hid from the world for a day, or a weekend, and spent the time with God? Imagine having your Bible with you, a notebook, pen and nothing else. The purpose is to rest with God. No agenda. No lofty goals. No activity. No people! Most of all, no devices! Ahhhh, you can probably feel the refreshment already. More on that in today's audio devotional.

I praise God that we have his written Word. To have access to the very mind of God is quite remarkable. He is the Lord of the universe and yet he chooses to speak to mankind. We call the Bible his Holy Word, and we should treat it that way. What would it look like if you hid from the world for a...

“There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow” Matthew 28:2 NIV). That would shake you up, wouldn't it? Easter is a few weeks away, and my latest audio devotional is called "Resurrection joy!" Be encouraged as you listen.

The resurrection is the most joyful event in history. Think about the contrast felt by Jesus’ followers. He was crucified on Friday. The hopes that they had for their king to rule were dashed. They were banking on an earthly rule and being rescued from the oppression of Rome. Now their king was...

When I have a hard time surrendering to the Lord, I need to look at Jesus. He gave it all. He surrendered his life to the Father in the most unselfish act of all time. He went to the cross.

After considering Jesus, my obstacles to surrender are so petty. Can you relate? Let's explore that further today.

God must have been exhausted after creating the universe, because he took a whole day off. I know that’s an absurd thought, but we can’t ignore the fact that God did rest. And he did it for a reason.

More on that in today’s audio devotional.

“And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done” (Genesis 2:2 ESV). God must have been exhausted after creating the universe, because he took a whole day off. I know that’s an absurd thought, but we can’t ign...

How can joy be restored in our lives when we are going through a time of heart-wrenching loss?

When we lose someone close to us, indescribable emotions take over. Whether a loved one’s death comes slowly or suddenly, the finality of it all has a profound effect on us.

There’s no formula for restoring joy in our lives in a season of loss. This isn’t a math equation. The ebb and flow of life isn’t predictable. Join me as we seek God in today’s audio devotional.

They say that laughter has a healing effect on the body. In fact, the Bible tells us, “A cheerful heart is good medicine” (Proverbs 17:22). Laughter may even release some happy hormones.

In any case, laughter is indeed good for the soul. Today, we're going to laugh together--I hope-- in our audio devotional.

We call it pride. We all struggle with it. We see it in others yet we’re blind to it in ourselves.

Jesus demonstrated the opposite quality, right up to his final breath on earth. Hanging on a cross, he pronounced about humanity (for whom he was dying), “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34 ESV)

We often misinterpret Jesus’ intention. These words weren’t only for those who were torturing and ridiculing him. They were for you and me.

Let's look at this more deeply in today's audio devotional.

We call it pride. God calls it sin. We all struggle with it. We see it in others yet we’re blind to it in ourselves. Jesus demonstrated the opposite quality, right up to his final breath on earth. Hanging on a cross, he pronounced about humanity (for whom he was dying), “Father, forgive them,...
