Hope, peace, love, and joy
As we prepare our hearts and ready our actions for the birth of Christ, for God to be with us, take some quiet moments this Advent to read reflections from fellow members of United Women in Faith. May we be God's partners in bringing joy to the world.
There's still time to put love into action in 2025!
As our General Secretary and CEO Sally Vonner, shared in her recent email, this is a sacred time of year—a moment to pause, to share our blessings, and to look forward with joy to the birth of Christ and the redemption of humankind. As we prepare to celebrate God’s greatest gift, we are blessed with the opportunity to reflect God’s love through our own acts of compassion, service, and generosity.
Before the year runs out, make a special year-end gift to support our mission, and invite your family and friends to do the same. Your generosity is a beautiful reminder of what we can accomplish together — living our faith, sharing our blessings, and putting love in action.
Bread for the journey: Merry Christmas
Question: When will the Unit Survey be available?
The Unit Survey will look a little different this year—and intentionally so. Based on your feedback, we’re shifting into a true real-time reporting model to better support the work you’re doing on the ground right now.
The 2025 Unit Survey will launch in February 2026, with a focused window running from February–March 2026 to capture the full 2025 reporting year. To bridge the gap year, we’ll also include a brief snapshot of 2024 questions so that our data stays complete and accurate while keeping the primary attention on 2025 unit-level insights.
This timing aligns directly with our Unstoppable Official Launch and the national visibility push leading into Assembly 2026—our movement’s major moment to show growth, energy, and renewed momentum. Strong survey participation now ensures we have the clearest picture of what’s happening across units as we enter this defining season of growth!
This is a pivotal time to work with your conference, district, and unit leadership teams to
Strengthen outreach, engagement, and recruitment tracking.
Support membership growth, retention, and giving strategies.
Use data-driven insights to fuel Unstoppable Growth goals.
And to tell your stories!
If you haven’t already explored the Unstoppable Resources, check out our website, and be sure to join the Unstoppable Hub on United Women in Faith Digital, where you'll find toolkits, messaging guides, orientation materials, Excite & Invite resources, and sample outreach plans to support your leadership teams.
Your partnership is essential. Thank you for championing both the survey and the broader visibility push as we build toward our official campaign kickoff at Assembly. More details and resources coming your way soon! We want women to know they have a place to find support, grow in their faith, and make a difference in our world that needs us.
Important information
Before 2025 ends, urge your legislators to co-sponsor three key bills.
Constitutional amendments ratified! By an overwhelming majority, voters at annual conferences around the world affirmed the amendments to the United Methodist constitution passed by the General Conference. This is great news for the church and sets us on a path to more gender, racial, and structural equity. Read our statement, and read about what this means for United Women in Faith.
United Women in Faith is hiring! We're seeking a major gifts officer to help us put love into action.
The delegate count for the 2028 General Conference will be 708. Read more from United Methodist News.
Get your 2026 Prayer Guide and Program Resource in a bundle and save! And our Soul Care Deck is a great way to encourage those we love this Christmas to tend for their souls.
November 29 was the anniversary of the Sand Creek Massacre. Learn more about how this tragedy is not just Native American history but Methodist history.
Get ready to participate in the Reading Program 2026.
It's time to empty the treasury: On page 63 of our Handbook you can find info on "emptying the treasury." The money given for United Women Faith is given for mission, so if at the end of the year local units find they have more than enough in their accounts to cover their first few months of 2026, they can send those extra funds to their district treasurer as (1) additional Pledge to Mission funds, (2) Special Mission Recognition or Gifts to Mission, or (3) a designated gift to a specific program or project that receives national office funding. Please share this information with your local units!
