You’re Invited: From the Cross to the Empty Tomb
“For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” - 1 Corinthians 1:18
Dear New Life in Christ Church Family
Good Friday and Easter invite us into the most important story in the world, a story that moves from what looks like defeat to what is actually victory.
On Good Friday, we will gather to consider the cross. If you had stood there that day, you would have seen a man dying, a movement collapsing, and hope slipping away. By every visible measure, it looked like defeat. And yet, the gospel tells us that at the very moment it seemed lost, God was accomplishing our salvation.
On Friday night, we will be a service that is serious in tone, yet grounded in hope, as we come to the Lord’s Table together.
Then on Easter Sunday, we turn to the Gospel of John and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
What looked like the end was not the end.
The tomb is empty. Christ is alive.
And because He is risen, death is not final, hope is not lost, and your life does not have to remain the same.
The message will clearly present the gospel and call all who attend to respond to the risen Lord in faith. We will also enjoy a special Easter Cantata featuring selections of Handel's Messiah as part of our worship.
These are also some of the best opportunities of the year to invite family and friends to come and hear the hope of the gospel. Who might the Lord be prompting you to invite?

Parking in the Back Lots for Easter
If you are able, please consider parking in the back lots to leave space in the front for visitors. Your small act of consideration may help someone feel welcomed and stay.
Thank you for serving in this way!
