From the Majestic Studio Vault: "Make Room," a song of hope and invitation by Betty Barker.

This week's Majestic Studio Vault re-release features "Make Room" by Betty Barker, an original song that reminds us of the Father's heart for those who are far from Him. With its memorable refrain—"Make room, the children of God are coming home"—this classic song continues to speak to a generation longing for reconciliation, redemption, and revival.

In a recent interview, Betty shared the inspiration behind the song. While driving one day, she heard a song on the radio about coming home. The thought lingered in her heart, and she began reflecting on the desire every believer has to see loved ones return to the Lord. When she arrived home, she sat down at the piano, and the Lord began giving her the lyrics that would become Make Room. Her prayer then—and still today—is that the song would touch hearts and lead people to Jesus.

This week’s rerelease from the Majestic Studio vault is an upbeat rendition of the classic hymn “Blessed Assurance” by The Varlacks.

Recorded when Glynis, Gerald, and Charmaine Varlack were still in their late teens, this vibrant arrangement brought fresh energy to one of the church’s most beloved hymns while honoring its timeless message of confidence and joy found in Christ alone. The recording reflects both the musical creativity and ministry passion that helped define the Majestic legacy.

“I remember the nervous excitement," reflect Glynis Varlack-Allgood. "My twin brother Gerald, my sister Charmaine and I had already been involved in recording background vocals for several Majestic artists but never thought WE might be featured on our own project! I remember carefully selecting public domain hymns and working with Greg Stephens and Ron Scotton to create something special. We were in our late teens and considered this a very high honor and still do.

With the help of the Lord, our project came together beautifully. I’m grateful for all of our Majestic experiences and for all the people who helped make this project a reality. Majestic was instrumental in shaping and preparing us for ministry and all three of us still minister musically today. May Majestic’s legacy continue for generations to come.”
